Mattress and boxspring were delivered and inspected. There were no tears at the time of delivery. However sometimes the mesh netting can become separated from the boxspring during shifting or placing a boxpring on a frameThe customer probably did this without knowing and thought it
was delivered that way which was definitely not the case. As far as the removal of the old mattress. We do offer that in our delivery fee but the mattress must not have any rips cuts and or stains in order for us to remove and properly dispose of an old mattressThis mattress was dragged out of an old barn by the customer where it looked like someone or something died on it. I was definitely not comfortable handeling this mattress as it was a serious health hazard. I specifically told the customer this on the phone as well when I arrived at the house
I am the owner of mattress depot and handled this transaction from start to finish. (Phone call to deliver.) We went well above and beyond to accommodate the delivery in such a remote area and feel that we don't owe anything to the customer. I consider this matter closed. We are not driving back up to Camp Verde which is hours from our location one way to remove and do a refund. We were on time and merchandise was delivered in 100% new condition
