I bought a couch set and I'm having troubles with the couch and recliners. The store is telling me I have to bring in the store at my own expense.I bought a best home furnishing brand couch set at matts furniture on June 23 2015. [redacted]. [redacted]. It was total 3407$ delivered and set up. We started having problems with both chairs and couch. One of the chairs the springs make a lot of noise when sitting and getting up. The seconde chair makes less noise when sitting in it but still a problem. The couch on one sides makes loud noise when sitting on it and on the other side of it sometimes when you sit on it and extend the foot rest and try and put it down again it will not lock in place while sitting in it. I called the Melville store where I bought it and they gave me the number of the Fort quappell store that handle warranty issues. I called and talked to [redacted] about the issues I was having. We sent him video and all the product numbers needed to send to company rep. I waited a a week and email [redacted] back and asked if he heard anything back. I talked to him and he said the best brand rep said they never heard of that happening. And then [redacted] said that I would have to bring the furniture back to the store at my own expense for them to send off to inspect. I'll Told [redacted] I have never heard of having to do that. No where on the receipt or the warranty booklet does it say the customers to bring it to the location. It only says for the customer to call the store if there is warranty issues. Thank you.Desired SettlementI want it picked up at there cost and fixed or replaced.Business Response In response to this claim. First off it is very unusual for there to be a problem with both recliners on a sofa and two separate chairs. This is our number one selling sofa and chair set and we have never seen problems like this before.We have offered to repair any defective problems with these pieces. All we ask is that he get the items to his closest Matt's Furniture location. That we would take care of transporting the items to a professional upholstery company. Under the one year manufacture warranty, Best Home Furnishings is willing to fix any defects.[redacted]. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I understand they will will send it to get fixed on warranty but my issue is why would the customer be responsible to bringing it to the store for shipment. No where on the bill or the warranty booklet does it say the customer is responsible to due that. If my washing machine stops working the repairmen comes directly to my house. If the customer is responsible for bringing it to the store for repair that should be written in the warranty book or on the receipt.Final Business Response We have offered to fix the customers problems with the sofa and both recliners. However it remains the customers responsibility to get the product to us to fix.If the customer does not have the means to bring the furniture pieces to us, may we suggest there are a number of moving companies within Melville that the customer could hire.
