Dear Reader: This firm represents Matvey Construction, Inc. with regard to Mr. [redacted] complaint filed on August 10, 2016. Matvey denies the allegations of Mr. [redacted]. Matvey entered into a contract with Mr. [redacted] on September 15, 2015, to perform certain foundation repairs. Matvey performed its...

work between approximately February 17 and March 15, 2016. The total cost for the work was $62,109.40. To date, Mr. [redacted] has only paid the initial deposit of $13,057.65 and owes Matvey $49,051.75. Mr. [redacted] has neglected, failed and refused to respond to demands for payment or to correspondence regarding the same. On March 22, 2016, Matvey recorded a Claim of Lien against the property where the work was performed, 11900 Lakeside Ave. NE, Seattle, WA. Attempts have been made to reach Mr. [redacted] to no avail. While Mr. [redacted] identifies his address as [redacted] Mr. [redacted] does not appear to actually reside at this address. It is Matvey's understanding that Mr. [redacted] was remodeling the residence for resale. Since May of 2016, Matvey has been attempting to serve Mr. [redacted] with a Summons and Complaint for breach of contract and foreclosure of the lien due to his nonpayment. Professional process servers as well as the King County Sheriff have made multiple attempts to serve Mr. [redacted], without success. The process servers as well as the Sheriff have left contact information for Mr. [redacted], but he has failed and refused to contact them, knowing that they are attempting to serve him with the lawsuit. On at least one occasion, it has been represented by the process server that Mr. [redacted] actively engaged and evaded the process server and then fled the scene. This is clearly conduct inconsistent with someone who believes that they have been wronged as Mr. [redacted] has attempted to represent in his Revdex.com Complaint. Indeed, had any of Mr. [redacted] claims had any merit, he would have responded months ago to correspondence sent to him from the undersigned regarding the account, and he would have provided back-up to support his claims. He has done neither. It appears that Mr. [redacted] now believes that if he goes on the offensive, he can somehow dissuade Matvey from pursuing its unpaid account. Matvey is continuing to pursue its claim against Mr. [redacted] and requests that the Revdex.com promptly dismiss and remove the complaint filed by Mr. [redacted]. Matvey's claim against Mr. [redacted] will be handled as a civil matter in the Superior court. If Mr. [redacted] truly believes that he has claims against Matvey as represented in his Revdex.com complaint, we would ask that he come forward and agree to accept service of the Summons and Complaint and can address such claims in that action. If you have any questions, please contact me.

RE: [redacted], ID #[redacted]  Dear Ms. [redacted]:   This is in response to Mr. [redacted]’s March 8, 2018, complaint, ID #[redacted].  We regret that Mr. [redacted] is not satisfied with Matvey’s services.  The first technician who inspected the site (whom is no...

longer with Matvey) believed that the floor issue could be corrected with the use of new posts and beams.  Unfortunately, due to pre-existing foundation problems that were subsequently discovered by a second technician, the posts and beams could not achieve a full lift and complete leveling of the floor without additional work being performed on the foundation.  The existing foundation has settled and needs to be lifted before further lifting and leveling of the dining room floor can be performed.  The technician advised Mr. [redacted] on an estimate for the additional work.    The installed posts and beams were necessary but, without the additional work on the foundation, they cannot achieve their full benefit.  Certainly, the posts and beams have not adversely affected the house, nor do we believe that they would have any adverse effect on any resale value.  Any settling of the foundation pre-existed any work by Matvey.  In any event, we do appreciate Mr. [redacted]’s position and, for purposes of maintaining customer relations and as an extension of good will, Matvey is willing to waive the remainder of Mr. [redacted]’s bill and will accept the sum previously paid as payment in full.  In exchange, we would require Mr. [redacted] to execute a release, which we can provide to him upon his acceptance of Matvey’s offer.  We would ask that Mr. [redacted] confirm his acceptance to us in writing via mail or email within five days of the date of this letter.   Sincerely,  Matvey Foundation Repair

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:This response is inaccurate, if not completely false. Matvey has never severed or attempted to serve me, in fact I filed a lawsuit (Case # [redacted]) and served Matvey 8/22 citing the damages as previously mentioned in person and in writing, which include lying about permitting, improper abetment of asbestos, improper engineer protocol per code, not completing the job per the contract, damages to the property, amongst other issues. I have hired an independent engineer and have solicited opinions from independent contractors who conclude "Matvey, did a horrendous/improper/ illegal job". The damages are clear, I've notified Matvey of damages, he refused to settle has tried to bully me, lied, hired an attorney to hound me, improperly filed a lien. This behavior is typical of his business approach. If you have a simple project you want done "on the cheap" with no regulations, give him a look, but for complex issues I would strongly suggest to look elsewhere. Buyer beware! Sincerely,[redacted]
