I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The reason for taking the boat for repair was to do the same work as performed 10 years earlier, but much less extensive. The comparison to the cost for the requested work was significantly higher, which I questioned. The additional work suggested by [redacted] was to refinish the floor boards for asthetics that I declined. The boat was reassembled when I picked it up and I was told that the specific repairs to the tears, (that would have been clearly visible if the boat had been disasemble as [redacted] claims) were repaired. The invoice was vague in description, but based on the cost for similar repairs from 10 years earlier, I accepted the word of the technician that the requested repairs were made. I did take the boat to [redacted] after the unrepaired maerial failed, and [redacted] stated that what he saw was not worth $1,500.00 worth of repairs. I paid [redacted] $1,200.00 to to the actual repairs that were originally requested and charged by [redacted] Marine. I have photographs showing the condition of the boat after I picked up the boat from [redacted] Marine, including the area they repaired for me 10 years earlier.
