March **, I had a conversation with *** *** where I offered a 50% discount on the service agreementAt that time I advised him that we no longer offer service plans at no charge, they are billable. In the interest of good customer service I have issued a credit in full for the service
agreement for this yearIf *** *** elects to keep the additional tank coverage, that amount is due and payable

It is unfortunate that the basis for this customers claim is that he doesn't remember being told that we charge for vehicle inspectionsEqually important to proper repairs are proper inspections and just as most people expect to pay for
repairs, most people know and expect to pay for the technicians time to do an inspection in the event that no repair is authorizedThis customer also evidently doesn't recall (when, as he states, he stopped in to confirm his appointment) the X sign on our counter stating "ALL VEHICLES ARE SUBJECT TO AN INSPECTION CHARGE"
I find it confusing that he states he believes the charge is justified but he shouldn't have been expected to pay it because he doesn't remember being toldIf our business had a track record of any similar complaints, we would consider re-training our staff and possibly take responsibility for his memoryBut in this case we believe the claim is ill advised and therefore declined
