My cooperation with Maven all went well for all the consultancies made from my home, entirely through a tepehone conversationThings start going bad when the consultaion would require displacement to some venue, espcially out of state, implying travel (airplane in this case), overnight stay and meals, etcBasically, without any respect and in a total disregard of the agreed rate, Maven, withou any notice would inpose on you a drastic reduction of the rate (2/I was told), but this only happening after you had already committed with your presence and travelTo make things worse, even though you might have to take some extra days off for the travel, Maven will only pay the actual time of the meeting that you were solliited for and Maven also expects that you willo pay for all the expenses from your pocket, saying that they will reimburse you at a later stage, all this without any binding document and, at the most, recdeiving all your expsnses only a month or two after you had spent the moneyOf course, I did not acept any of these conditions and because I tried to apologize the Client for breaking my compromise and not attending the scheduled meeting (she was part of my LinkedIn network) Maven got all offended saying that I had incurred in a breach of their policyWith all this, I have ceased my cooperation with Maven and, maybe in a retaliation attitude, they still have not paid for my last telephone consultaion, which happened almost two months agoI guess that after a while the true skinn just comes out!
