Review: Maverick sells [redacted] products with a one year warranty.

I purchased a [redacted] online on March 20, 2015. The item arrived defective.

I have called customer service several times over the past nine months to request a replacement.

I always get an answering machine, and no one returns my call.

My complaint is Maverick is selling defective [redacted] products and then not honoring its warranty by not returning calls from customers who have received its defective products.Desired Settlement: I just wanted a replacement but after experiencing Maverick's non-existent customer service and poor business ethics, I would like a refund. Thank you.

Response:

Customer purchased a product from an online retailer and found that it did not work. While we had no record of any communication from the customer, and it would have been the online retailer's obligation to refund or replace the unit, we contacted the customer and due to the long time elapsed we issued her a full refund directly.

Review: I received an ET 733 outdoor thermometer for Christmas, and the first time using it the food probe did not work correctly. I called customer service only being able to leave a voice mail on 12-28-15......never received a call back. I then emailed customer service two different times and once again have not heard back. On the warranty paper it stated to contact them with any issues with the probe and they will send a replacement. It is now January 10th and not one person has contacted me back.Desired Settlement: I would like a new food probe sent to me or a replacement of the whole unit.
