I purchased an AR-15 from this company (order #646) on 9/28/20. However, there have been some issues with this transaction. They didn't include a magazine with the rifle as advertised. When I reported this discrepancy on 10/7/20, I was told that another one would be sent that day. When I followed up a week later to find out the status, it became clear that this assurance wasn't true and that none had been sent. I was again told that the magazine was being mailed, but all my requests for the tracking number have been ignored, as have any other attempts to communicate and get this matter resolved.
In addition, the rifle's inadequate packaging arrived in such poor shape that the forward sight was poking through and there were other holes that were caused by the rifle breaking through the flimsy cardboard. Even the FFL remarked that he had never seen a firearm shipped with such substandard packing. I mentioned this to the representative but got rationalizations and excuses. I realize the carrier is responsible for the transportation of the items and the conditions therein, but the firearms I have bought from other vendors have been sufficiently packed to handle this contingency.
I was concerned that the rifle might have been damaged as a result. The aiming does seem off and the rounds jam more frequently than they should, requiring much extra use of the charging handle to chamber or eject them. I am mainly concerned with getting the magazine that their rep admitted was supposed to be shipped with the rifle. Throughout this, I have been patient and polite even though their company's level of customer service has been meandering between poor and nonexistent. I am still hoping we can get this matter squared away satisfactorily without my having to resort to filing a complaint report with The Federal Trade Commission or exploring what other legal avenues are available.
I prefer that we can get this resolved amicably. Otherwise, these are options that may have to be considered. Thanks in advance for your help.
