[redacted] has been a very loyal customer for almost a year. We understand that he has requested for a refund as he was not fully satisfied with our service and we apologize for that matter. only. He brought back 3 button down shirts which had several buttons broken. We gladly offered [redacted] to have the buttons replaced free of charge. He denied our offer and repeatedly asked for a refund on services for all 14 laundered shirts that were cleaned and charged on the same invoice. We sincerely apologize again for [redacted]'s frustration on the damaged buttons. We can still offer to replace the buttons free of charge. Thank you.
Review: Max Cleaners has repeatedly damaged goods that I have provided to their care. The latest incident on June **, 2015 involved 14 damaged items. Upon reviewing the goods I promptly returned to the store, with the damaged merchandise and requested a refund. At this point, the [redacted] of the establishment began speaking in their native language and pretended not fully understand the request - and inferred that there was a language barrier. I know the situation was fully understood by the merchant, because I have frequented this establishment over the past year. In the end, they refused to issue a refund for the damaged goods.Desired Settlement: Given the unacceptable nature of the damaged goods, I would request a full refund.

Review: I left a shirt with Max Cleaners for dry cleaning. I picked up the shirt up a few days later and when I inspected it at home, I noticed that the buttons on the sleeves (both sleeves) were missing. I returned to the cleaners the following day, reported the damage and was told that the manager was on vacation and would not return to work until the following week. I returned to the cleaners a week later, spoke to the manager, pointed out the damage that occurred to my shirt and asked for a repair or compensation., The manager looked in a box of buttons and asked whether the missing buttons were in the pile in the box. I replied no, they were not. At that point,, the manager claimed there was nothing that he could do. I said you could compensate me for the damage to my shirt. He refused. I then said I will never again bring a piece of clothing to this cleaners and I plan to file a complaint. I had also brought clothing to be cleaned but I immediately asked for a refund and my clothing to be returned, following through on my statement that I would never again do business with that establishment.Desired Settlement: I think the cleaners should either repair the shirt, at their expense, with buttons similar to the original buttons or purchase a comparable new shirt as compensation.

Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. They are not being truthful by stating that they offered to replace the buttons previously. In fact, the owner or manager pulled out a box of buttons, asked me whether I saw the original buttons for my shirt in the box (which I did not), and then shrugged and said there was nothing more that he could do.
