Complaint[redacted] (son of owner) improperly installed sod and french drain in our yard. Then he simply ignored our calls when we reached out.We received an estimate of 3,500 dollars to remove overgrowth, grade, and install the soil/sod for our yard. He also suggested a french drain. We moved forward with the services and he originally mapped out where the sod would be placed and the french drain installed. He used spray paint to mark the areas to be covered. When we returned the sod did not reach the proposed areas and were left very choppy. The design of the yard will have to be repairs in order to look uniform. The french drain sticks out of the yard on top of the grade of the lawn. This deems it useless according to two second opinions we have received from professionals in this field. The french drain should have been installed at the bottom of the drive way like [redacted] had originally told us he would install it. The sod is now over a month old and had not taken roots, I assume that's because he didn't amend the soil or prepare the grade appropriately. He assured us we could reach out for any concerns we have and even said he would mow it the first time (4 weeks after installation). When he didn't show up we called and sent him messages. Both the owner and employee who we previously worked with got ahold of me as soon as they received a noticed from the Revdex.com. They expressed their sincere willingness and interest in making the situation right and ensuring we are happy with their services. They completely re did our sod installation. I have to be honest and say that their service and sod installation this time was flawless. Our yard looks great and impressed at how they handelesthe issues we had. I feel as though we got top quality services and would recommend their services. I'm grateful and glad that Maxs landscaping was able to hear is out and address our issues head on and deliver on their word. I am closing my complaint. Final Consumer Response
