Max Madsen's Aurora Mitsubishi Reviews (5)

Hello [redacted], I am terribly sorry we have upset you in any way whatsoever, you chose us over many other dealerships and that means everything to us.  I am hopeful that my explanation of the situation will bring you some comfort and we can get our relationship back on track.  I spoke to...

[redacted] and he genuinely feels terribly that he left you feeling as you do.  While you did have pre-approval with [redacted], [redacted] felt he could possibly get you better terms (saving you m[redacted]y) with another lender or two and submitted your application in the effort.  Please trust me when I tell you that he was doing this in your best interest.  Unfortunately [redacted] and [redacted] never discussed this and your request we not approach other lenders or we wouldn’t be in this situation.  You mention in your complaint that [redacted] action would affect your credit score adversely and that is not true.  As long as your inquiries were related to and led to your acquisition of an automobile loan no points would be deducted as that is what your credit score is for, shopping for the best available rate.  The credit reporting agencies will not remove these inquiries from your report as we and the lenders we submitted your application to accessed your report but again, this is not harming you at all.  Thank you again for your business, we truly value you and will be here for you down the road.  We will make every effort to make up for this.. Respectfully, [redacted] Managing Partner

Hi [redacted],Again I am sorry this has you so frustrated but allow me to reiterate, what we did was only in your best interest and in no way caused your credit score any harm.  When you have a chance, please go to www.myfico.com where you can read this information;Does the formula treat all credit inquiries the same? No. Research has indicated that FICO Scores are more predictive when they treat loans that commonly involve rate-shopping, such as mortgage, auto and student loans, in a different way. For these types of loans, FICO Scores ignore inquiries made in the 30 days prior to scoring. So, if you find a loan within 30 days, the inquiries won't affect your scores while you're rate shopping. In addition, FICO Scores look on your credit report for rate-shopping inquiries older than 30 days. If your FICO Scores find some, your scores will consider inquiries that fall in a typical shopping period as just [redacted] inquiry. For FICO Scores calculated from older versions of the scoring formula, this shopping period is any 14 day span. For FICO Scores calculated from the newest versions of the scoring formula, this shopping period is any 45 day span. Each lender chooses which version of the FICO scoring formula it wants the credit reporting agency to use to calculate your FICO Scores. If your credit score has g[redacted] down it was not due to the auto inquiries.  The credit reporting agencies will not remove the inquiries as they have provided us and our lenders access to your credit profile based on permissions granted when you submitted for credit at our dealership.  I am hopeful that once you visit myfico.com and see the scoring criteria you will realize we were only trying to help you get a better rate. Please feel free to call on us down the road if you ever need our assistance, we will be here for you.Respectfully,[redacted] – Managing Partner

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/28) */
Mr. [redacted],
We thank you for the opportunity to service your vehicle and we are glad to hear you were able to resolve the issue. With regard to your refund request, our policy on Diagnostic Charges was clearly explained to and accepted by...

you before we examined your vehicle. Had you performed the repair work at our dealership, the diagnostic charge would have been waived. Given you elected to have the repair made elsewhere after receiving our diagnostic opinion we will not be issuing a refund or credit.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/05/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The issue here is that you guys didn't provide an adequate diagnose on my car. The diagnosis provided was saying that there were no issues with my car other than a bent rim. I knew that was wrong so I took it else where to have a new diagnosis done on the same day in were they found the real issues with my car. The tech that worked on my car that day clearly did a poor job and I'm not responsible for that. Thats why I am requesting a refund. I stopped by Max Madsen [redacted] in [redacted] IL and submitted the two Diagnosis that I have done on the same day and they are clearly different. Hard to get issues fix when they were not diagnose in the first place. Thats why I had to go else where.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/06/01) */
[redacted], I am sorry you feel our diagnoses of your issue was inaccurate. Our technicians are all ASE certified / Master Elite technicians and VERY capable. We are standing behind our technicians assessment of what caused your issue, the fact that you chose to have your vehicle repaired elsewhere was your decision and doesn't change the agreement you entered into with us when you contracted us to perform a diagnostic of your suspension.

Dear Ms. [redacted],I am truly sorry we were unable to change your loan terms after your original negotiation and acceptance of those contracted terms.  As we explained to you over the telephone and in response to your online review we truly did try to accommodate your request but the lender...

([redacted]) who offers the 0% APR loan at the time restricted the term to 48 months on the model you purchased.  When we requested to reduce the term, your payment increased to a point that you did not budget for and you did not qualify for the 0% accordingly.  We further explained, what you did qualify for was a 2.9% (not 2.8%) over 48 months however, to accept that loan you would have had to forgo $1250 in rebates.  With that information, you elected to keep the loan terms as is and we processed your loan.I would be more than happy to discuss this in person with [redacted] if she would like to schedule an appointment. As far as the $76 charge that is not coming from us.  It sounds as if there was a second owner on the plates she transferred which the state is telling her she cannot transfer without a release of interest or her option would be to pay the $76 for a new set of plates.  If she wants to save the $76 she can by having the second owner sign a release of interest which can be signed here at the dealership.  The $169.27 she paid was our documentation fee not a plate transfer fee.Again, I am sorry we were not able to accommodate your request.Respectfully,[redacted] Managing Partner Tell us why here...

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I am not satisfied with their response. Like I stated previously, at no time any[redacted] discussed with me sending loan applications to various dealers, the response reads [redacted] or two lenders, to be exact it was 6 different lenders, to get me a "better deal." I believe that this should have been approval and discussed with me before deciding in taking action without my permission. As far as the credit, my score did go down significantly, and I am well aware that it did affect it because I monitor my score daily! I have contacted the credit bureaucracy and they informed me the dealership that made the requests "on my behalf" can contact them and request the inquiries to have the retracted from my report, being that they did affect my credit score in a bad way I want this d[redacted], this will report for two years and I do not want this reflecting because I never agreed to this. I expect a prompt fix to this issue.I
Sincerely,
[redacted]
