Review: I bought a 2 yr support $439.95 for maxpcsupport.com and now there 800 number 1800-982-1360 does not work. I keep getting hackers in my emailDesired Settlement: I need my refund ASAP of $439.95

Review: HE ASKED ME FOR MY CREDIT CARD SO HE COULD RETURN THE $200 DIRECTLY TO MY BANK. I GAVE HIM THAT INFO. He said the bank rejected the transaction. [redacted] called to say he is part of [redacted] and how to get in touch with him. Then he got on my Computer and typed the rest of this. He wanted me to go to [redacted] and purchase green money pack and send him $300. So he could refund me $100 on my service contract. Because his company Max PC Support, the contract company was no longer working with his company and he was told to refund the money. I told him no I'm not sending you $300 just send me a check and he said I'm sorry Mam my company doesn't allow us to write checks.. That doesn't make sense. He kept repeating said Mam why don't you want your refund? Because I'm not paying $300 to get $100 dollars back That doesn't make sense. I kept say it on the phone and I told him to Leave me alone. And I told him to go to hell. And signed off my computer.

The next day he called me on the phone. I told him my answer was still absolutely not. I hung up. A couple hours later he had a lady call and ask why I didn't pay the $300 I owed them? I said to her I'm not giving you nothing. They kept harassing me 2-3 times a day and I finally stopped answering the phone. Then about 3 weeks went by and he got in my computer and asked What happened to you? I said nothing. I don't want anything to do with you. Mam we owe you and we are going to fix your computer. I said no your not, No I said Your not going to do anything. Then he said Well Viki I guess if you don't send me my money I'm going to crash your computer! He did exactly that!

I spent 3 hrs on the phone with [redacted] Support and the router co. to get my computer cleaned and to finally help me to try to put programs back in because everything was gone.Desired Settlement: I want my $300 back immediately! $200 for the Service contract I did pay for and $100 for the work they didn't do and crashed my computer on purpose. I had to pay [redacted] $239 to fix my computer and give me a year warranty. This should not had been necassary if Max PC Support was a reputable company. They need to pay me that back too!

Review: I was forwarded to Max PC Support (India) from an online Yahoo! support number after experiencing email functionality issues. My original problem was that I was not able to compose or send emails. Max PC Support claimed that my system was 85% compromised and that my printer, cell phone and additional laptop computer were also highly compromised. How they had this knowledge is unknown to me since no tech had inspected any of my devices at the time and no diagnostic procedures had been performed. I was quoted by the Max PC Support representative an amount of $270. to repair my existing issue as well as provide a two year service contract if further repairs were deemed necessary in the future. If I also agreed to repair the additional devices the fee would be $454.00. I reluctantly agreed to have Max PC Suport technical team inspect my PC for the problems they claimed I had and gave them my name, address, cell phone number and Visa credit card information for the two year contract totaling $454.95. Again, Max PC Support had not run any diagnostics yet on any of my devices. Once a technician was assigned to me (Mr. Shagun Baralwaj) he proceeded to take over control of my PC through an online sharing program where he had complete control of my system. Again, it seemed that no diagnostics had been performed to my knowledge. [redacted] accessed my email several times asking me to enter my password privately each time. He seemed to lag in his work stopping several times for a few minutes to eventually return and continue with his assessment. After about 20 minutes I noticed through our online chat that a second party had joined the repair team. I do not recall the name of this person, but he prompted me to reveal my email password for reasons he would not reveal. When I told the second party the I would prefer to enter the password myself privately he claimed that this would suffice and continued his work. At one point a the technicians downloaded programs onto my PC that I had not requested. The unrequested programs were: 1. Google Chrome browser, and 2. Java program from Oracle. I was then asked if I wanted to install a third program, i.e., Ad Blocker Pro, to which I agreed. This was the only time I agreed to the installation of additional software on my PC. The use of the additional programs were recommended to me by the technicians, claiming to be safer with heightened performance. The email issue was finally repaired and shown as functioning properly to me. The tech then proceeded to re-ask for my personal information including name, address, phone number and credit card information and I was asked to sign a waiver form to initiate the two year contract with Max PC Support. Our phone conversation ended. I then ran a computer search for Max PC Support and found several sites including the Revdex.com site with complaints about the company. I then contacted Verizon support. Verizon is my online service provider. In hindsight I should have contacted them initially as the Verizon tech. advised me that the service that Max PC Support had provided (minus the 2 year support) could have been accomplished by Verizon technicians for free as I am a contacted member. I asked the Verizon tech. to assist me in re-contacting Max PC support. He agreed, and we were able to speak once again with [redacted] at Max PC Support. The Verizon tech. and I discussed the issue of the service and fees that Max PC Support had charged me. At this time I explained to [redacted] that I wished to cancel my two year agreement contract but became frustrated with our conversation once I asked if there were any other plan options other than the two year plan. He responded that yes, there were plans that were less expensive, quoting my $99.00 for a basic "one time" fix fee. Again, the Verizon tech. spoke with [redacted] and advised his that I could have had the very same service for free or at a maximum fee of $39.99 (for service beyond 1/2 hour) to make similar repairs. [redacted] claimed that the service Max PC support provided went beyond normal repair issues to justify his minimum $99.00 fee. I then asked [redacted] why I had not been informed of a one time fix (with lower fee) prior to any work Max PC Support was contracted to perform. At this, [redacted] became frustrated and incomprehensible on the phone to both me and the Verizon tech. that was sharing the conversation. We both asked [redacted] to clarify his statements and we were quickly handed over to another gentleman who claimed to be a Max PC Support supervisor. The conversation that ensued between myself, the Verizon tech. and the Max PC supervisor was again incomprehensible. The supervisor then relinquished the conversation back to [redacted] who upon further questioning from myself and the Verizon tech. proceeded to end the call abruptly leaving the issue unresolved. The Verizon technician, who I was still on the line with, then told me he would connect me with a Verizon supervisor who would instruct me further. The Verizon supervisor had been briefed by the Verizon tech. as to our conversation with Max PC Support and assured me that Verizon would verify in my account to the previous conversations with [redacted] and his supervisor. I questioned a number of things Max PC Support techs. had performed on my PC. Primarily I was concerned with the possibility of my system being compromised. Their inappropriate response to my concerns in our phone conversation added further to my concern. I decided to run a scan on my PC which revealed more than 50+ malware objects which were currently running on my PC. According to the scan report of where those objects were found also revealed that they had been added at the time that Max PC Support had access to my PC (August, 16, 2013). I have made online screen shots of the files revealed by the malware software and have over 10 screen shots of malware appearing in multiple places on my PC. I then contacted a representative at my local bank (Chase) and asked them to place a stop payment to Max PC Support for the amount of $454.95. This transaction is currently pending investigation by my bank branch. I feel that the unprofessional manner in which Max PC Support dealt with my transaction as well as the compromising of my computer system left me with other choice than to suspend my transaction with this company.Desired Settlement: I would like to void my transaction with Max PC Support and any charges issued to my credit card by them removed.

Review: On August 6, 2013, I called Yahoo Support about a problem related to printing of emails I'd received. A Yahoo technician linked to my computer and told me that hackers were now on my computer, and that I needed to get in touch with an anti-hacking specialist / network engineer to repair damage, remove foreign addresses, repair network, remove unauthorized access, etc. He recommended Max PC Support, and connected me directly to them. After hearing their terms from "[redacted]", I agreed to pay $299.99 for a warranty for three years of support and services provided 24/7. A technician whose name sounded like "[redacted]" linked to my computer and "checked my network", did something with my disk utility and Mac HD, deleted '"junk and unneeded applications", and said he would install a "network shield" and he increased my security alert settings. (I made notes.)

I've tried calling their toll free number [redacted] today. I hear numerous rings, then "toll-free forwarding" spoken in English and one or two other languages, followed by another long series of rings, and then I was disconnected. This has happened four times.Desired Settlement: Refund of $299.99

Review: On May 29, 2013, I was duped out of $439.95 for computer remote service. I allowed them to charge me for a 2-yr. contract to clean-up all corrupted files which were disallowing me to print my Yahoo Emails. I was willing to pay up front for a service that I believed Max PC Support was reputable because I thought it was linked to Microsoft. Initially, I spoke with two men from India, then again two other men who were Indian on July 31, 2013. I can provide their names later if necessary. I allowed them to gain access to my computer data by having me type in "logmein123.com. They worked on my laptop remotely to do whatever it took to correct my computer problems as mentioned. They were remotely taking control of my computer for hours. If they wanted to gain all of my personal info, they had the time to do so. Today, I believe I've been scammed out of the funds & possibly personal info because I cannot reach anyone to give me computer support. When I've been calling their phone support #, all I get is a recording of a woman saying: "toll free forwarding, Punta Kaun." Also, I'm still waiting for a response from my Email request to "[email protected]. No response yet, and I sent it at 5:45 pm. It is now 11 pm est. From now on I'll b taking my PC's to Best Buy Geek Squad or someone who has a valid reputation and can b accountable in case of a problem.Desired Settlement: A legitable refund of $439.95, and null & void our 2 year service agreement.

Review: not holding up on agreementDesired Settlement: refund me what I paid the $199.95 if you guys can't hold up to the agreement that is why I went with this product

Review: Yahoo froze my email account saying it had been hacked and recommended I call this company to service my PC. They went through their services available and what was included for the price. I paid $439.95 for a 2 year PC service contract for 1 computer. They did their remote "fix," however for the past 4 days, I have been having the same problem with my Yahoo account. I have been trying to get in touch with the company to perform more service on my PC, and to assist me in my Yahoo problems but unfortunately, their phone is out of service and I have sent four Emails to their business, and the Emails have not been delivered and apparently they have gone out of business. The $439.95 payment was paid directly from my Credit Card. I am not sure how I can re-coup my losses and at least get back my $439.95. I have only had their service a few months now and I can't afford to loose that type of money. I feel that I have been scammed and I need help.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and my money credited back to my Cred Card account.
