Maxim Mobility Reviews (1)

Review: Purchased through insurance, on June 27, 2013 one Pacesaver/Leisure -Lift Power Wheel Chair with riser. The riser unit is no longer working. I have CMT - [redacted] disease and I am permanently in a wheel chair. I depend on the riser to lift me up to a height that is suitable to carry on daily household tasks, such as cooking. The riser also helps me get on and off the chair. The Chair is in the lowest setting and it is putting undue stress getting on and off the chair. Plus it is putting undue pressure on my leg sitting in that position for any length of time. I have leg lesions on both legs that were on their way to healing until the lift stopped working. I called Maxim Mobility over 4 weeks ago. First I got there answering machine that said the secretary was only in on Mondays but leave a message and someone would get back to me in one day. That was a Monday. On Wed. of that week I called again because no one called me back. Maxim Mobility's answering machine were full and not accepting any more calls. I continue to call them every day for the next week. Finally someone cleared the answering machine because I was able to leave anther message. Which I did. Still I have not actually talked to any one. The third week I found an e-mail address an sent off a message explaining everything. The next day a Mr. [redacted] called my back. He told me the part were under warranty, He would order the part, all I had to do was get a prescription from my Doctor faxed to him to submit to the Insurance co for the cost of the Labor. I did that immediately. I confirmed with the Doctor's office that the prescription was indeed sent and it was. Two more weeks have gone by, I keep e-mailing Mr. [redacted] and so far I have not heard a word. The insurance Co. has assured me that they NEVER got the prescription and Maxim Mobility has been charging the insurance a Rental fee of $690. every month on this chair even though the have been paid in full almost a year ago.Desired Settlement: I want the riser replaced and as soon as possible.
