again, [redacted]

I contracted with this company to fix my driveway. It had cracks and sinking and they recommended repaving it with 2 inch thick asphalt. I was promised a 2 year warranty and that I would be 100% happy with the finished product. Day 1, they paved 90% of the driveway and ran out of asphalt. They had to finish the next day, leaving all their trucks and equipment along the road. The sheriff's department stopped by to ask me about their vehicles being parked there and I had to explain to them what the situation was. They were nice enough not to ticket them. They finished on day 2 and then moved on to my neighbor's house since I introduced him because he wanted his driveway worked on. Well, several weeks later and several calls later, my driveway has continued scuffing, sinking, cracking, chipping, tire tracks, you name it. It never properly cured. They blamed it on bad asphalt and told me to sue the asphalt company because it was not his problem. I even told him my garage now floods and he told me it was not his problem. My neighbor is experiencing the same issues, as well as they melted his siding on his house. On mine, there are dents in the siding, as well as spray over from either the asphalt or seal coating they put on. Either way, the last thing they told me was not to contact them anymore and if I did, he would file harassment charges against me. He told me have my lawyer contact his lawyer if I have a problem but don't contact him anymore. He has no lawyer that I can tell because I asked him to have his lawyer contact me, which never happened. All I know is he was really polite when he made the first visit to do the work, and told me they had the best warranty in the business-that they cover 2 years and everyone else only covers 1 year. The problem is, when I had a problem immediately afterwards, he said if I contact him again, he'll file harassment charges and refuses to fix the problems. So much for being 100% satisfied and so much for the warranty.

Review: The driveway this company installed looks horrible and is falling apart before our eyes. Driveway started shedding and falling apart after one month of use, the owner said sealing it would resolve the issue. Well they came out and sealed and then added sand to the damaged areas.(I had to pay for) It looks horrible and it is still shedding. There are areas that are not 2 inches thick like the written agreement stated it would be, and there are sink holes starting to appear. The company was very unprofessional from the beginning.. [redacted] and [redacted] fought the entire time. The original quoted price for the driveway was wrong and they asked me to pay them an additional 700 dollars for extra asphalt which I reluctantly did. Also left their lunch trash in my yard. [redacted] stated he would take care of the issues... but will not return calls now. Supposed to have a 12 month warranty and that seems to be a lie.Desired Settlement: Apply another layer of GOOD QUALITY asphalt on top of the driveway. Make it smooth and follow a straight line. Need asphalt that will not shed and start to fall apart.

Review: On 6/22/2013 we contracted Maximum Paving for a 3k paving job of our residential driveway. They showed up on time, completed the work, and the owner [redacted] contacted us later that night to advise we needed to sealcoat. He went over the cost, benefits, etc. We agreed to have him sealcoat the driveway trusting his judgment. He completed the sealcoat job the next day followed by a severe rainstorm. Following the rainstorm the driveway started to peal and show damage due to the water...[redacted] was willing to help by coming back out and scraping it off. He let us know when the weather was better he would reseal and patch and areas that had an issue. We also mentioned that the rain was still pooling in the middle of the driveway (we paid extra to excavate it off to the side). We haven't seen him yet. Apparently the ownership has changed from [redacted] to his son [redacted] refuses to return calls or emails. The contract we signed provides a warranty for my driveway. I called two months ago to advise that we were placing our home on the market and needed the driveway fixed immediately. [redacted] stated that he would come and fix the driveway the next time he had a job in our neighborhood. I asked him at that point to please give us a heads up and let us know what time frame we were looking at. We never heard another thing from [redacted] or Maximum paving. 2 weeks ago I called to find out a status. [redacted] stated that he had not had any jobs in our neighborhood since our issues started (We know this is not correct because we witnessed them doing work with our own eyes). I told him at this point we would either like a full refund or for him to come out and re-pave the driveway due to the damage from constant rain and lack of proper sealing. He told me he would most likely not be able to re-pave the driveway but would come out to let us know what needs to be done to correct the issue by the weekend. No phone calls, updates, or visits. Last week I send an email to the company requesting a full refund by 10/25 so that we may have another company fix the driveway. This company refuses to contact us back and at this point we cannot even take them to court because they no longer live at the address on file. We are desperate for help with this company. It has been an awful experienceDesired Settlement: We are requesting a full refund of contracted amount. We will now have to pay a different paving company to come out and excavate the driveway properly to allow proper drainage, re-pave, and reseal before our home can go on the market. We have been extremely patient and given them since 6/23 to correct the issue.

Review: In the summer of 2011 we hired them to replace our asphalt driveway. They committed to 2 - 4" of new base and 2 inches of new rolled asphalt. I have pictures proving they only laid less than 1/2 inch of new base and less tha 1/2 inch of new asphalt across several areas of the driveway. In fact, some of the base is visible through the new asphalt. In these areas the driveway has crumbled and is in much worse condition than it was prior to the replacement. They came back and patched one area temporarilly in the summer of 2012 (after dragging us along for a year), and signed a promisary note that they would return during the summer of 2013 to completely resurface the top half of the driveway where the patch was in place. The owner call a few time in the summer of 2013 to say he was going to get to it, but for the past 3 weeks he won't return my emails or calls and it is now September.Desired Settlement: I would like them to resurface the top half of the driveway and repair the other areas of the driveway where neither the new base or the new asphalt met the contractural agreement in terms of depth. In those areas the driveway is now completely exposed to the base, with no asphalt showing at all.
