A second visit was made the following week [redacted] drove to and from each event He witnessed both visits The results were worse than the initial visit Additional over buffing removed too much paint and gell coat creating what the Maximum Auto may have refered to as "fading" Very unsatisfactory work The untrained eye can easily see this is not a professional work

I am writing in response to a complaint filed by *** *** *** *** came in with a red full size Dodge Ram on 7/29/The vehicle's paint was faded, with some of the clear coat missingThe vehicle was filthy as he uses it on a farmThere was hay in the bed, and damage to
areas.*** *** asked for a price for a full paint jobBeing that the vehicle is a full size pick up truck, and red, which is the most expensive color, the cost for the paint job was quoted at $3,This quote was less than most shops, ours included, would normally quote on a job like this as *** *** was a repeat customer and knew my former manager, *** *** *** said the price was too high, that he deserved a cheaper price as he did know *** he was a repeat customer, and he was a farmerWe negotiated back and forth, and instead of a full paint job we settled on repairing the damage, using a more cost effective paint, and detailing the remaining areasThe cost we decided on was $1,200.When the work was finished on 8/7/14, the customer came to pick up his truckHe walked every inch of the truck critiquing itWe told him to bring the truck back the next week, and would attempt to fix the areas he was concerned with to satisfy him*** *** did not call or come backOn 3/10/15, months after the customer picked up the vehicle, he called and spoke with me, *** ***, the owner of Maximum Auto Body I informed *** *** that there was nothing we could do for him at this late dateI am sorry that he is dissatisfied, but we completed the job he agreed on.Attached, please find a copy of the estimate

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:The $fir a full repaint of my truck was agreed upon by former manager *** *** and myself. Unfortunately *** passed away and a new manager took is place. I haved had other work done by *** and was pleased by the quality work coming out of the shop ... I thought of him as a friend as well as the manager of Maxiumu Auto. Upon my return to Maxiimum Auto to have the work done a new manager had taken his place. It was obvious the new manager did not want to do the job at any price (was not the issue). I was told area painting and buffing repair my truck. We agreed upon a cash $1,payment for the contracted work.d upon. This is where the problem developes. The painting was of very poor quality (painting over dirt and fuzz, using the wrong color) and the buffing was excessive making the damaged areas look even worse and blistering the gell coat.. The shop worker said it was a result of "hot exhasut". Note: NOT TRUE, never a problem before and several areas not near the exhaust were also damaged. Poor quality work should not be rewarded and others should know this is how Maximum Auto operates. As directed I did bring the truck back a second visit to repair areas stated above. The additional visit only produced a worse situation. This is contrary to the reponse given. All we got was excuses. The original truck paint has NOT faded. A cheap red enamel paint was used for repairs that does not match the orignal. It also was applied improperly. All my statements can be varified as to poor quallity work from several auto body shops estimates. As to the dates and events and the truck was seen, worked on and returned can be verified by a witness who drove me to and from Maximum Auto on each visit. This person also overheard the conversations, payment and witnessed the work done.As to the owner she was dismissive and abruptly hung up on me after stating she could do nothing for me. I had hoped she would at LEAST take a look at the poor quality work and see for herself what was the problem The least I would expect is to return the original $1,so I can put it toward correcting the poor quality paint job. (Estiamtes are $3,to repair) I feel this is more than fair. Maximum Auto SHOULD be responsible for correcting the situation at $3,500. I have lost all confidence with Maximum Auto and hope others will not have this kind of experienceThe truck is still not repaired and is in the same condition as it left Maximum Auto on the SECOND visit. All defects are clearly visible. Anyone wishing to see the poor quality work for themselves can contact me
Regards,
*** ***
