This message is in regard to your complaint submitted on 4/23/2016 against Maxkar Motors.  Your complaint was assigned ID [redacted].[redacted] Response: I'm working with the business to get the repair resolved. They have not agreed to pay the full $[redacted] in repairs. They have agreed to pay only...

$[redacted] and then upon cashing they check they wrote on it they will not do anymore repairs. They sold me a vehicle needing many repairs and maintenance and that even failed inspection on a rack & pinion. I've learned my lesson to NEVER do business with them again nor recommend family or friends to do business with them either. I had to do several complaints to get them to do any work which is not acceptable. [redacted]

Review: I went to Maxkar to look at a vehicle & when I got there the truck looked like it was in an accident. Missing hubcap, debts on back & from bumpers & broken light. I pulled car fax to found several incidents. Moe, the manager, never told me of damages. He told me I I was approved & bring $6,000 cash. I told him I wanted to look at another vehicle. He said he would have to get another bank approval. I saw an 2010 white infinity truck about $19,000 in price. I only drive it a few blocks down Jefferson Davis highway At 45 mph in the cold so I only used the heating. I advised I wanted to get infinity looked better than 1st vehicle.He took my cash first then read real quickly through loan docs. I asked him first before I signed if it has a warranty. He said yes & showed me the document for 3 month/3000 Mile warranty.he said when it runs out I can purchase 24,000 miles or 2 yr added warranty at $2000 financed. I drove 166 miles total/3 hr drive.The truck steering wheel shook uncontrollable,brake pedal vibrated badly.I thought the truck would break down. I called Moe not even 10 minutes from driving off the lot on the highway at speeds of 60 mph+. I told him of issues. He said he would give a time to bring it back. I took the truck to a known car shop on 3/28/16 & they printed 4 pages of issues include oil leak, loose tire rod, Alignment/bottom rusted out. I told Moe I didn't want the truck & wanted my money back. He declined said no refunds & I was stuck with the truck. He had me drive again on 3/29,he said he would fix all issues. I picked truck up on 3/31 it still ran same to include squeaking on left. He told me he fixed everything & squeaking is normal. I tried to use ac on 4/19 it was hot air. Took to shop paid $83 for freon & recharge & ac ran for 1 hour then hot again.Shop faxed papers on ac line replaced for $1,000 from rusted exterior. He refused to get it fixed. He trying to have me pay for it. I have 3 small children & no ac in hot temperatures.He is uncaringDesired Settlement: He needs to pay for all Repairs since day 1 of issues to include ac line full replacement. I want the work to be done by an honest 3rd party shop. I don't trust them to complete work they haven't done first repairs.They wasted my time has he drive over 300 miles and never put the truck on the rack to show completed work. They never printed out completed work. They didn't show me old parts. I want all issues fixed oil leak, alignment, tire rods, ac line replaced. I'm riding in this truck where the tire rod could break at any time with 3 children in hot 80/90 degrees, no ac. He gave me false info from day 1 of loan, had me give false info To bank, he lied on warranty, he lied in completing repairs. He is trying to have me pay out of pocket for repairs that existed before I got the truck.He belittled people,talks down to them. He schemes and lies to customers but takes their money & blamed me for leaking ac line & I never ran ac. Didn't drive 1k miles & not 30 days & these repair issues

Review: I purchased a vehicle about three months ago at which time was being advertised online for $16,000 but when I got there I was told the ticket price is $18,000. I told the sales person I would not purchase the truck unless it was advertised for the price online. They agreed to do so but at the time of signing the contract they changed the price at the last minute without notifying me. I didn't catch it and signed the contract. I wanted to report their bad business ethics. Along with, just after having the vehicle for only 3months I now have major mechanical problems. I took my truck to be appraised and was told I have over $10,000.00 of NEGATIVE equality in my truck. Its actual retail price is $8,000.00 so the ticketed price they advertised it for was still twice as much as its actually worth.Desired Settlement: renegotiation of the ticketed price for the vehicle. The only reason I nominated to purchase the truck in the first place was because it was being advertised for $16,000. I put down $2,500.00 thinking that would then drop the price to under $15,000. But instead the price broke even after they added taxes and tags.
