called to get refunded because class was cancelled due to weather. Would not refund me, and enforced me to reschedule when I did not want to.My class was scheduled on a Saturday but the class was cancelled due to weather, there was no notification from Maxwell besides something on their website. We were not called and there was not anything on the door when me and several other people were there waiting for someone to get there. I called back during the week to get my money back because I did not know when I would be able to take the class again, the csr was very rude and was practically making me reschedule my class when I clearly told her that I did not want to. The event of the cancellation was out of my hands and I did not understand why I could not get a refund for an event that was not in my control. The csr also told me that the owner was away and told me she did not know when he would be back, I told her I would call back during the week to see if he was back and she just said 'ok' and hung up. The name of the csr was named Michelle, I have a copy of the receipt, which was also very hard top acquire, and I have the purchase on my bank statement as well. I hope this did not happen to the other people who signed up for that class and that they have their billing information because it was very difficult to get from Maxwell. Michelle could have been a lot nicer but instead was very rude.Desired SettlementI would only like my payment returned to me because I was not able to use their services.Business Response I mailed a refund, Check# 6869, on 1/29/2016. As of 2/23/2016 Ms. [redacted] has not cashed it. Ms [redacted] was never told that she would not refund her monies. I refunded any client their monies or rescheduled them to another class. We also called each and every client talked with them or left them a message.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)There was no call from Maxwell letting me know that the class was cancelled neither was there a message on my phone telling me that the class was cancelled. I deposited the check into my bank account on 02/12/16 and I have the bank statement to prove it. The policy of the school is NO REFUNDS. However, since it was not my fault that the class was cancelled, I assumed that Maxwell would be able to make this small exception to the people who registered for the class. I'm sure I was not the only one who requested a refund. The only call I got was to tell me they were going to send me their check. There was no apology or anything they simply told me my check was on the way.
