I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution has no other option than for us to write off the loss on our part. This stinks.
I guess if the business is no longer, we are pretty much out of luck getting them to stand behind the warranty. Our retailer where we bought the mattress set has offered a discount on a new mattress, but they shouldn't have to as it wasn't their product to warranty. And we end up spending money we shouldn't have to if we want a new mattress.
