Photo documentation of the work performed shows no "man made" damage after removal of ice damming.
Ice dam removal is very tricky work that can cause small gouges/scratches on the interior of the gutter as the ice pulls away from the metal. Due to this "Ice-Damming" removal services are not performed without first providing the customer with a verbal disclaimer that we are not responsible for any damage to the gutter caused during the execution of these services. This is also often followed with the warning that not removing the ice dam can cause leaks and then the decision on how to proceed is left up to the homeowners discretion.
Proper installation of heat cables in areas at high risk for backup and periodic roof maintenance by a licensed roofer is the best preventative measure for a homeowner to prevent "Ice-Damming".

We do not accept this response due to the fact that the owner of the company had told us repeatedly that he thought that his crew HAD been out to fix the problem and in our last conversation he told me that he was going to have to have some harsh words with his crew and maybe even do the work himself.
Therefore he was admitting that there was a fix and now he is choosing to change his position on this matter.
