Helvetica, sans-serif;">Mayfair IV Response: On the morning of July *, 2015, a first time Customer came to our Cleaners and dropped off 10 lbs. of clothing to be washed for which he paid $9.90. Later that same day, we delivered his clean laundry to his home. On the following day, he returned to our store complaining that there was a bleach spot on his dress shirt sleeve. We advised him that, if we did use bleach, all of his clothes would have bleach stains, not just one small spot. Additionally, we have no way of knowing if the bleach spot was already on the shirt sleeve before being washed, since we do not examine each piece of clothing before placing it in the washer. At that time, the Customer wanted to be paid $100.00 to replace the shirt. We refunded his $9.90 cleaning charge and he accepted it.

Review: I used the services of this dry cleaners and my shirt came back with a white stain, ruining it. They said they had no way of verifying if the stain was not there before and did not want to take responsibility for the damage, and would at most refund the cost of the service.I told them I was prepared to be under oath to assure that I had very recently used the shirt for meetings and was not aware of the fairly obvious stain beforehand.Desired Settlement: The right thing to do would be for them to reimburse me for the purchase of a new shirt, even if partially.
