NEGATIVE/UNSAFE/FRADULENT SALE. In May of 2015 I purchased my 2008 Avanger. Good deal, great salesman. I was given a Vehicle Auto Check from the Dealership. After buying the vehicle & driving off the lot 3 miles down I-94 in traffic going 40mph my hood flew up and smashed the windshield. I took my car back & demanded it be replaced after they questioned my honesty with the situation. Finally they agreed to replace all broken parts. Fast Forward a little over 3 years later. Throughout my ownership of my Avenger Ive done $1,400+ of mechanical work, not entirely terrible since it is a USED vehicle, some maintenance may eventually be required. Not until My husband and I decided we would like to upgrade our vehicle since having a second child this past week that we found out the truth about our vehicle & the fraudulent sale to us. I went to BUFF WHELAN to get an appraisal trade in & I was confronted with a Premium CarFax report that said our 2008 Dodge Avenger has been deemed a TOTAL LOSS in 2008 & again in 2010!!!! The integrity of the frame work and suspension of our vehicle back in 2008 & again in 2010 was compromised and deemed an unsafe vehicle and TOTALED by the previous owners insurance. Our vehicle was then bought at an auction and resold to us a month later in May of 2015. I have ALL documents from the sale of my vehicle and NO WHERE is there any insinuation that our vehicle was a salvaged title or a TOTAL LOSS vehicle. I am now stuck with this hunk of junk. More mechanical issues continue to arise & costing my family outrageous amounts of money & no dealership wants the vehicle for more than $500 because of the fraudulent title & my family is left without a vehicle & a loan still due on the vehicle. The dealership lied to me & gave me inaccurate information in the purchasing of my 2008 Dodge Avenger. Im shattered by the news & ANGRY towards the dealership for lying to a family as they watch me put my 2yr old in the back seat of the vehicle and driving off.

This review has been pending for some timeI promised the guys at Ford Road that I would make this review as soon as I drove my car a little but I wanted to get a very thorough review ready as I personally think it's warranted when buying a carDealers want to often trick you into giving an amazing review with discounts right then and there so you don't necessarily come back and leave any negative reviewsThey often sweeten the deal with “give me a review now and I will discount your purchase” or give a card/gas card of some sort
I bought my car a year ago and it has been my daily driver ever sinceWhen I first went in, I wanted a grey Audi A4(84k miles) but they sold it that morning so I ended up settling for another Awith more miles on it with a terrible interest rateI have some mixed feelings about this purchaseI love the car, as it has always been one I wanted to own but it came with MANY issues that they hide or may have "overlooked" when they inspected the carmonths after buying the car, the engine went bad and I mean complete valve failure bad
Luckily they kind of forced my hand in getting the warranty which saved my butt and it ended up being covered under the warranty due to it being hardware failure and not a sensor failure
The problems didn’t stop thereThey were many small problems that popped up throughout the rest of the year of owning my carAs of right now, my warranty company has paid more than $(yes, you read that right) to the mechanic in repairsLiterally more than what the car was worth
For this, I am giving an honest starI love the car, but I feel like I was tricked or the car
was repaired just enough to get it off of the lotEven the front bumper they claim to have
fixed/replaced didn't stay fixed for very longLong story short, do more research with many other dealers UNLESS your credit is crap then you will most likely get approval here but you never know what you may get under the hood
Another reason to give stars is that they did offer me some great adviceWhen I applied for the auto loan through credit acceptance, I was given a 25%! Interest rateThey gave me great advice saying to pay it automatically for months then refinance through my credit unionIt actually worked! months of on-time, automatic payments and even though my credit was still rebuilding, I was able to get refinanced with a 3.4% interest rate and have been making double payments since I could afford anything up to what I was paying previouslyWas the way to go!
So, I do apologize for this being long but I wanted to give people the kind of review that I personally looked for when I was searching around and If anyone on here or from the shop wants to test the validity of these, than I would be more than happy to provide the repair statements for the car! Across the coming weeks and months, I was given the excuse that the man who was supposed to transfer possession through Ally was in the hospitalI proceeded to make a total of three payments (in September, October, and November) on the Charger, despite not possessing it
