Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: *** *** recollection of these events differs from mine. He failed to disclose the problems that he knew the truck had. He is a dishonest business man and deserves to receive some sort of punishment for his dealings. I was in business for years and never once did I try to hide anything from a customer. He should have never sold this vehicle. He should have never purchased this vehicle for resale. The people he bought it from should have never sold it. They should all be ashamed for their actions and the fact that this vehicle could have ended any number of people's lives. This whole deal is despicable and unconscionable!
Regards,
Cynthia Hunt

[redacted] came to look at the 2003 Ford Expedition on Thursday December 29th and test drove the vehicle. He liked the vehicle and he was interested in purchasing it. As it is my custom I showed him that although it was in very good condition it was a northern car ,Pennsylvania I believe, and...

it had rust on the bottom of the drivers door. [redacted] also looked under the vehicle and we spoke about the rust damage. I told him I had no problem in him having it checked out with his mechanic before he purchased, but he declined and said he would look at it and maybe spray some rust chemicals himself etc. We negotiated on a price and he said he was going to bring his wife to test drive it.** and [redacted] returned on Saturday the 30th and she gave it an extensive test drive testing every feature even putting it in 4x4 mode on a dirt road to make sure it engaged, which it did. [redacted] was also satisfied with the vehicle and wanted to purchase it. We sat down in the office and she asked her husband about the rust and he said it would be ok. I again asked them if they wanted to have it checked out because I dont offer a warranty with my vehicles and sell them all As-Is. They said they were going to get a loan through their credit union and Monday was a holiday so we agreed on a price and they would contact me Tuesday the 3rd.[redacted] contacted me Tuesday and said they were getting a loan from the Credit union. Later that day they brought me the check and signed paperwork. I offered to deliver the vehicle to them since they live in the next town over and later that day I delivered it to them.Approximately two weeks later [redacted] called me to say he went to get an oil change and it had more rust than he liked underneath and what could I do for him. I explained that he was aware of the rust and he purchased it as-is and at this point the deal was done and there was nothing more I could do for him.Two weeks after that I received another phone call from him and his wife threatening a lawsuit if I didn't refund them all of their money. I again re iterated that it was sold AS IS  and they were aware of it being sold as is and even signed acknowledging such.
