Mazari Motors Reviews (17)

Jason and team
I went online and checked out a lot of places and landed at Mazari Motors a couple hours away from my WV little town. My wife and I got there late in the evening, looked around and grabbed up a 2007 Hyundai Elantra to fit our need.

One of the crew members stayed until after 8pm to help get us set up with the car. They even put new tires and brakes on it for us so we wouldn't have to be concerned about that with winter right around the corner.

So if you're looking for a great used, or, new vehicle give them a call and they'll hook you up. Looking for something in particular, have them look too, you won't be disappointed. Satisfied customer- Darrin D. Brininger

In regards to the complaint I've filed, I find it very disturbing for Mazari Motors to provide such false information. Yes, upon arriving at the dealership, I was greeted professionally. As time went on [redacted] became very unprofessional and hostile. The day I purchased the vehicle I arrived there around 2-2:30 p.m. I provided them with all of the documents I needed so that could start the process. I then test drove the car and did a personal inspection. I found a few scratches on the car, which I brought to the receptionists attention. She said she would have her husband, which happens to be a mechanic take a look at it. He was unable to fix the scratches because supposingly, his buffer was wet. I proceeded with the process. Waited for hours while they did what I thought was everything they needed to do. While waiting I was asked about insurance. I then called my insurance company to obtain insurance on the new vehicle which only took a few mins. They never mentioned anything about a bank needing more info. I am writing you in response to [redacted] complaint on Mazari Motors. Ms. [redacted] purchased a 2010 [redacted] on Marh 25 sans-serif;">th, 2016. Ms. [redacted] put $1,500.00 down on the vehicle and financed the rest through a bank. Even though the vehicle was sold 100% AS-IS through Mazari Motors. It was decided to keep the customer happy Mazari Motors would look into the repairs. Due to the amount of time the Volkswagen Dealership was taking Ms. [redacted] decided to contact the bank her loan was through and tell them she does not have the vehicle and will not be financing it, so the bank contacted us and we agreed that if she wishes to return the vehicle that is ok however she will lose her down payment since the vehicle was getting repaired at her request and it would have to be restocked ( take new pictures, re list the vehicle on Mazari website, relist the vehicle with cars.com and other online advertising agencies.) The business has not supplied me with any documentation regarding a restocking fee nor did they inform me that one would be applied and I would lose a down payment. As stated in the documents by Mazari Motors, if financing is returned by the bank, then the sale is cancelled. The financing was returned by the bank not the consumer. All calls that were made to the finance company were calls that were being returned because the finance company was trying to reach out to me. Mazari Motors needs to do the right thing and return my down payment because at this point they have sold the vehicle.

Based on a listing in True Car, I made a $500 credit card deposit to Mazari Motors for a 2015 Sonic. I subsequently (the following week) made a partial payment, again by credit card in the amount of $2500 with the balance to be submitted in person upon pick-up of the car. When I got to the dealership (a four hour drive from my home) I took it for a test drive and was not satisfied. I asked for a refund, which was refused. Not only did the salesman refuse to refund the $500 deposit, they refused to refund the $2500 partial payment saying that it also was a deposit. When we protested they called a sheriff's deputy to the dealership in a clear effort to intimidate us. Fortunately, the deputy was totally professional and attempted to mediate a resolution. Eventually, after a considerable amount of disagreeable back and forth Mazari Motors reluctantly relented and refunded our partial payment, but kept the $500. Without going into great detail about the various claims and attempts to put us off, we feel that we were treated with great disrespect. At best these people are aggressive in trying to close a deal with little regard to customer satisfaction. There were some attractive cars on the lot and you may come away satisfied with your experience as long as there are no issues that come up in the course of the transaction. However, if there are any issues at all they will do you dirty if they can.

Review: I HAVE BEEN SOLD WHAT I BELIEVE IS A LEMON.I have told [redacted] and [redacted] who are sales people at Mazari Motors about the issues I was having the very next day.[redacted] told me that he will take care of any issues that the car had. They also had me to call the bank and tell them that they fixed all issues so that the bank can approve the loan. They were calling and texting me to call Nicole from AFS ACCEPTANCE and tell them that the car has been fixed when it was not,and that they will fix any problems after that. After they received the loan money I did not hear from them unless I contacted them myself.Even then when I got in contact with them they kept saying they were busy like my business was over. The transmission slips between 20 mph and 40 mph. There add states that the transmission changes smoothly, clearly untrue. [redacted] and [redacted] both told me that they took it to there mechanic and he said there is no issues with the transmission.I told them about shocks and the clicking in the wheel when I turn. [redacted] said the mechanic said to Shocks were good for seven to eight months which is clearly untrue as well. The car bounces up and down and makes loud noises every little bump in the road.I took the car back to them so they will repair the problems that they said lthey will on November 15,2015 it is now November 23,2015 and no repairs have been done.I have purchased cars from people off of craigslist and off of the street that were more reliable than this car that is from a car dealer. It has not been over 30 days and all of these things happen. This is the worst business that I have ever come across in my life.I ask repeatedly who is the owner ,and have not been giving a name or contact number yet. There add also says the car is 9,995 but the sales price on paper says 11,999.Desired Settlement: I would like to take this car to a official mechanic shop, and for Mazari Motors to pay for all that they promised.I would like to get the car repaired at a shop in Richmond, Va because driving back and forward to Fredericksburg is a big inconvenience for me and a lot of gas money for a car that has been purchased in less than 30 days with a lot of mechanical issues.

Review: I purchased the vehicle on December 26th. I left a $2500.00 down payment. I was told that the only thing I would need to do from the day of purchase was to have the vehicle Maryland inspected, mail the dealer the sticker and they would handle everything else at the MVA so that I could get my hard tags. On January 5th, I received a phone from the finance company needing to verify my information. Before ending the call I was told that I would either need to sign a new contract or return the vehicle. The following day I contacted the dealer and they stated that some changes needed to be made and I would need to come in and sign new documents. I asked if they could email me the paperwork. I compared my original documents to the ones that they emailed me and the numbers were different and I refused to sign anything else because that wasn't the original agreement. On January 12, 2016, after countless threats and phone calls to return the vehicle, I did. The dealer failed to give me my deposit back.Desired Settlement: I returned the vehicle. I would like to get my deposit back.

arrival to the dealership she was greeted by on~ of the car salesmen. As

scheduled [redacted] took the vehicle for a test drive. After the test drive

she was confronted by the same salesmen to horn she expressed that she was

satisfied with the vehicle and was interested in purchasing it. She was then

walked to the salesmen's desk and was asked for the documents to bring with

her. At this point she had brought other her almost all of the documents she was

asked to bring. She was missing two important documents proof of residence~

and proof of insurance. Ultimately, She had her insurance company fax over

proof of insurance after almost 3 hours later. However, she was still missing

proof 9f residence and the bank had asked us t~ fax this over to them as soon

as possible. At this point, we were helpless because she had failed to bring us

her proof of residence. Nevertheless, our staff attempted t~ explain the issue

of the missing document ~o the bank and successfully resolved the issue. After

which, Ms. [redacted] was contacted and informed of the banks decision. She was

very happy upon finding out :that she was approved for the auto loan. Then, Ms.

[redacted] provided us with a down payment of two thousand five hundred dollars

($2500), after which the finance manager started to process and print her paper

work. While she was getting sighted up Ms. [redacted] was told that she might have

to come back on Monday, December 28th 2015(12/28/2015), to complete her paper

work and pick up her vehicle due ~o the bank being closed by the time her paper

work was entirely processed and printed, and her insurance faxed. When she

asked why that was necessary, it was explained to her. It was told to her that

were unsure of what the banks policy was for Ms. [redacted] regarding the

first payment because the bank ' I was already closed for the day, she was told

that the bank usually gave customers 45 days from the time of purchase to make

the first payment and that we were not sure if this would be the case with her.

After explaining all the law disclosure of her financing, and the disclosure of

her purchasing the vehicle, she endorsed and signed all the disclosures. She

took position of the vehicle and drove out of the lot.· She asked if we could put

the new contract if the first payment! date changed and email it to her because he lived two hours away and could not pick it up in person because she worked

Monday through Friday. On Monday, December 28th 2015 (12/28/2015), [redacted]

was contacted and was told that the documents were ready but could not be

emailed. However, we offered to have one of our staff members deliver t:lie

papers to wherever she preferred. She told the dealership that she would get

back to us. Mazari Motors did not hear back from Ms. [redacted] for 11 days after

this. The bank made an exception to accept the non original form that needed to

be signed, to which she refused. During this whole ordeal Mazari Motors had

over four other customers that were ready to purchase this vehicle. We then

contacted [redacted] several times to bring the vehicle back because we had

other buyers for it but She refused. She was warned that she would have to

forfeit the down payment if she failed to comply1 upon being aware of this she

continued to drive our vehicle. She finally returned the vehicle back to Mazari

Motors on Friday, January 12th 2016 (01/12/16), after putting 800 miles on the

vehicle and damaging the exterior of the right side of the vehicle. She is now

asking for her down payment after driving the vehicle for 15 days, putting 800

miles on the car, and damaging the right side of the vehicle not considering

our loss.

Response:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

As far as I knew, everything was going well! After being there for several hours and signing the contract and other documents, I was told everything was ok and I'm free to go! All I had to do from that point on was to have the vehicle Maryland inspected, mail them the sticker and they would then get me my hard tags. I would have NEVER left the lot knowing I would need to come back to do more paperwork because of the distance and as far as I knew, I was approved and good to go! Days later, I recieved a call from the dealership saying that the bank was trying to contact me to verify some info. I do recall missing a few calls from them but, everytime I would call back I wouldn't be able to speak with anyone directly. Once I was able to speak with Nicole from AFS, she verified my information. By the end of the call she said well you'll be needing to sign new paperwork or return the vehicle. I was lost as to why this was happening so the next day I contacted the dealer. They said all I would need to do was sign another document which was only changing the date of my payment. I asked of they could email it to me so that I could review it. They emailed me what was now a new contract and the figures were different from the original so, yes, I refused to go back there to sign it! At that point, the dealer told me I would me to return the vehicle. Okay, not a problem! Yes, it was a big inconvience but, I'll return the vehicle in exchange for my deposit. Not once did they tell me I would be unable to get my deposit back. They actually ok'd it which is listed in the email. I made arrangements to get to the dealer on Tuesday, January 12th. I even left work early so that I was sure to get there before the office closed. [redacted] even said they would keep the office open after hours just in case there were any delays due to traffic since I was coming from Baltimore. Upon arrival I was aggressively greeted at the car by [redacted] as he yelled about me riding his car around adding more miles to it. Nervous and all I stepped in the office and had a seat at the desk. He stated that he would need to check the odometer and inspect the vehicle. I then said to him, you can do so but, I'll give you the keys in exchange for my deposit which was the the agreement before I even got there. I needed a witness so I then called the police. When the officer arrived, he said he could witness it but, he couldn't make him give me my money back. Also, that if he failed to do so, that this would be a civil case and I could take it to court. Okay! I gave [redacted] the car keys, he left for about what I would say was a half hour. When he finally came back to the office he said that the place that does the inspection is closed and that he wouldn't be able to issue me any money because the bank was closed at that hour also. He knew that I was coming there that day so, I feel like everything should've been in order to complete the exchange. It wasn't! Now I'm frustrated because he now has his vehicle and my deposit so I'm leaving with nothing?! That was on Tuesday, January 12th. He said he would be wrapped up at the auction and out of the office for the next few days so contact him on the following Monday to get my deposit. That same day I filed a consumer complaint because I felt like what was happening wasn't right and something had to be done! Monday came, no call or anything from [redacted]. I called the office numerous times and even sent a email. Tuesday came, the same thing! On Wednesday, I finally spoke with the receptionist and she said that he was out at the auction and he would be back soon. I let her know that it was very unfair to me what was going on so I'd be contacting a lawyer or someone that could help me in this matter because I've never experienced anything like this before in my life! She had to have relayed the message because on that Thursday, I was finally able to talk to [redacted]. He said well there's a few scratches on the car (which I have proof of being there when I purchased the car). He then went on to say that since I was contacting a lawyer then I definitely wasn't getting my money back and he no longer would speak on the matter. That was the last time I spoke with him. I also have no knowledge of it being any interior damage to the vehicle because I did a through inspection myself before returning it. This has been a bit much! I just want my deposit back so that I can move forward and be totally done with it all!

Review: I purchased a financed vehicle from Mazari Motors on 3/25/2016. I paid $1,500 as a down payment for the vehicle. The vehicle was a 2010 [redacted]. The vehicle had some mechanical defects, such as the windshield wipers stopped working not even a week after purchase and shaking in the vehicle while the car was in motion. Mazari Motors advised that they would repair both issues. The vehicle was returned 3/29/16 for repairs. I began receiving calls from the finance company on 4/5/16. I finally spoke with a representative and I was told the call was to finalize the loan process. I advised the representative I did not have the vehicle and that as of 4/11/16, I had not been given a date of completion by Mazari Motors. The representative informed that she could not finalize the loan because I did not currently have possession of the vehicle due to the repair process. During this time I made multiple attempts reaching out to Mazari Motors for status updates or completion date. Finally, I received a voicemail from the General Manager on 4/18/16 saying the vehicle was ready. I immediately called the General Manager letting him know that I had spoken with the finance company and was under the impression that I no longer had financing for the vehicle. He said I just needed to come in sign a paper that he would submit to the finance company. I told him I would come in to discuss because at this point the finance company told me that it is not my vehicle and I did not have an active loan. I sat in the office with the finance company on speaker phone and the General Manager present, the representative advised that I had been approved for a loan but they would not finalize the loan for lack of possession and mechanical defects. I immediately asked for a refund and was told I would not receive one because I was approved for a loan. I expressed that is true and advised that the finance company approved a loan for me but declined finalizing, no fault of mine.Desired Settlement: Complete Refund

Business

Response:

I am writing you in response to [redacted] complaint on Mazari Motors. Ms. [redacted] purchased a 2010 [redacted] on Marh 25th, 2016. Ms. [redacted] put $1,500.00 down on the vehicle and financed the rest through a bank. After the purchase was complete, Ms. [redacted] brought the vehicle back to Mazari Motors requesting some additional repairs to be made. Even though the vehicle was sold 100% AS-IS through Mazari Motors. It was decided to keep the customer happy Mazari Motors would look into the repairs. Due to the amount of time the Volkswagen Dealership was taking Ms. [redacted] decided to contact the bank her loan was through and tell them she does not have the vehicle and will not be financing it, so the bank contacted us and we agreed that if she wishes to return the vehicle that is ok however she will lose her down payment since the vehicle was getting repaired at her request and it would have to be restocked ( take new pictures, re list the vehicle on Mazari website, relist the vehicle with cars.com and other online advertising agencies.) Also it is clearly stated in the showroom that all deposits are non refundable. We hate that Ms. [redacted] is not happy with us and we do wish to keep all customers happy, which is why we accepted a return of a vehicle that was sold and finalized.

Response:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The business has not supplied me with any documentation regarding a restocking fee nor did they inform me that one would be applied and I would lose a down payment.
