Review: Front & side steps, walkway with pavers & Belgium block & cement walkway on side of house were installed in October 2011. Multiple messages were left with the company in the early fall of 2012 regarding separations on steps between the pavers & slabs, raising/lowering of walkway where pavers & concrete walkways meet & Belgium blocks leaning toward walkway as well as a new space forming where the concrete walkway meets the steps & house. No calls were returned until a message was left stating that I would contact the Revdex.com, they set up an appointment, and said that the separation on stairs & raise, lower of walkways as well as lean of blocks should not happen. They put new concrete in separation on steps, removed concrete subsurface on cement walkway & righted blocks. They stated that the space between house/steps & concrete was not that big & I should not be concerned. Five messages have been left since July 1, 2013-two appointments were set up that they never showed up for. There are now large cracks in cement walkway as well as multiple separations in stair seams (including one previously repaired) & Belgium blocks are loose.Desired Settlement: Repair issues before they become worse. Less than 2 years after installation without any severe weather and cracks forming in multiple spots leads me to believe I will need to replace entire job within 5 years.

When meeting with them, [redacted] explained the repair was not extensive and can be taken care of within 10 business days. We will be calling the [redacted] the day before we take care of the repair to confirm that the date is acceptable.

I am rejecting this response because:

This issue has NOT been resolved. I called the Revdex.com 2 weeks ago (11/18) to follow up & was told to wait a little longer for a response. Mazzilli called me that day & came to look at the issues on 11/20. They said they would fix it. That is the last I heard. I do not know when this is supposed to happen. I would not considered this resolved at all. Please advise on what next step I need to take.

Mazzilli Masonry went Thursday, December 5th to take care of the repair. The [redacted]'s were there and our employees informed them most of the repair was taken care of then due to the weather at the time the entire repair was not able to be completed. Our employees also informed the [redacted]'s that they would back the following week on a weather permitting day to complete the repair. We are expecting to have everything completed either Monday or Tuesday of next week (weather permitting).

What is the date that they are coming to finish? Originally it was for laying sand, the day they were there to do most of the repair, I asked about a previously repaired crack that has become worse. I also called a week after the December repair and asked to have the spacers that were added to some sides of new concrete be put on the one piece of the original concrete for uniformity. I had not heard back yet.

Review: In November 2010, Mazzilli replaced the front slate walkway that extends from sidewalk up to front stairs, and the slate slab in grass that extends to street. The slate slab in grass was immediately cracked while drying due to the workmen jumping on it, when leaving their truck parked along it, to perform the other work. When [redacted] from Mazzilli came to pick up the check for services, he saw the problem and assured me that it would be fixed in Spring 2011 when the weather was warmer. Based upon this representation, I paid him in full. In January 2011, only 2 months later, the slate walkway leading up to the front stairs developed a horizontal crack. I called the company receptionist and informed her of this. She assured me we were on a the repair list. We have continued to call this company numerous times in 2011, 2012 and 2013. We have emailed them the specifics of the problem. We have been assured by the office personnel that we are on the repair list. In addition, my husband and I have spoken personally to [redacted] from the company about the repairs, with a guarantee each time that they will be done. As recently as August 2013, my husband spoke to [redacted], and he remembered the issue and admitted it was supposed to be repaired last summer. He asked us to leave a message at the office. We have done so twice in August and September, again with no response.Desired Settlement: Repair of both the front slate walkway, and slate slab in grass that extends to street or a full refund for these services, so we may pay some other company to perform the repairs.
