A couple of my neighbors had MB Radon Services installed their radon mitigation systemThey are both very positive about the result the system providedI did a test years ago; it was on the board line of accepted levelMy house is almost years old with concrete floor and walls in the basementAs I learned from the discussions with the tech, if there is a layer of gravel under the cemented floor the mitigation is almost guaranteed to work its wanderThe system was installed in mid NovemberThe work was professionally done and the installers kept you informed along the way if you asked for any information days later, I started collecting radon sample with a CHARCOAL RADON TEST kit, which was provided by MB RadonI quote the test result below: â Radon Test Result = < pCi/L The US EPA action level for indoor radon is pCi/LTest results in this range (pCi/L or less) are, for all practical purposes, equivalent to the radon levels found in fresh air.â by Air Check, Inc I have a portable radon monitor which doesnâ t provide as accurate data as the charcoal testI believe I can correlate the charcoal test result to its readingsNow that it is more than a month later, I believe the radon in my basement is maintained at the said test level(I am much at ease in bringing my new grand baby home -:)
A couple of my neighbors had MB Radon Services installed their radon mitigation system. They are both very positive about the result the system provided. I did a test years ago; it was on the board line of accepted level. My house is almost 20 years old with concrete floor and walls in the basement. As I learned from the discussions with the tech, if there is a layer of gravel under the cemented floor the mitigation is almost guaranteed to work its wander. The system was installed in mid November. The work was professionally done and the installers kept you informed along the way if you asked for any information.
9 days later, I started collecting radon sample with a CHARCOAL RADON TEST kit, which was provided by MB Radon. I quote the test result below:
âRadon Test Result = < 0.3 pCi/L. The US EPA action level for indoor radon is 4.0 pCi/L. Test results in this range (0.5 pCi/L or less) are, for all practical purposes, equivalent to the radon levels found in fresh air.â by Air Check, Inc.
I have a portable radon monitor which doesnât provide as accurate data as the charcoal test. I believe I can correlate the charcoal test result to its readings. Now that it is more than a month later, I believe the radon in my basement is maintained at the said test level. (I am much at ease in bringing my new grand baby home -:)
