After searching and interviewing contractors for several years I along with two additional neighbors hired MBJ Enterprises to install a pipe to carry water from a storm drain that was running through the back of our properties and causing a lot of erosion. [redacted] and his team was very professional throughout the entire process. [redacted] even went above and beyond to find dirt for the cost to deliver only. What contractor would be that caring. Not only did he deliver but the quality of work was great. His estimate was thousands less than other contractors that we had consulted with over the years. I highly recommend MBJ Enterprises. I plan to hire them for future projects.
After searching for a reliable landscaper who would call back and schedule time for a quote, MBJ was doing work for one of our neighbors and we asked about doing our work. He came by the next day, gave us a very reasonable quote for all the work we requested and started it the following week. The work included removing 26 trees from our back yard along with their stumps, running drain lines out from the gutters and from the back of the driveway, installing outdoor lighting (6 lights in front of house) and leveling and sodding the back yard. He also did a nice mulch filling around the side of the driveway, back yard and planted 24 bushes/plants from small to (4) 8ft. trees. All of this was completed in one week - very efficient, cleaned up the site and staff was friendly and courteous. We can highly recommend this company because they do what they say they will do, complete their work in a timely manner and their staff is all very good and nice to the customer

I hired MBJ Enterprises (xxxxx) from a from a referral of a regular contractor I have had a relationship. We had asked xxxxx numerous times what we were looking for in landscaping services. He never finished any of the jobs for which we asked him to complete. His response was you are happy and that is the way it is! His wife xxxxx is very pushy on payment and explains via email, that the jobs are completed and you must pay immediately. I would never use this guy again. And I hope someone does read this, because xxxxx is what he is.... He comes across as a real nice guy, but never listens to what you want done. He only performs work to what he thinks it should be. Our jobs were pretty straight forward. He never completed one of them. Even though he says he did. He does not call you back when he is paid in full either. Do not have him perform work or you will get the same treatment I did. I have to spend several more thousands of dollars to fix his terrible work!!!!

Mark, the owner of MBJ Enterprises has been nothing but a pleasure to deal with. We were installing an in-ground pool in a challenging back yard that sloped. This created the need for a retaining wall. Mark came highly recommended to us so we called him for an estimate. Mark came by in record time and he did a fabulous job with the wall. The one thing we appreciated most was Mark's professionalism. If he's running late, he'll call you. If he says he's coming by, he shows up. It's sad that this type of customer service is so rare these days, but it's certainly appreciated with Mark.
As our pool project progressed, the landscaping raised it's ugly head again. Due to the sloping yard, part of pool was elevated and had a volcano like slope coming off the one side. I asked Mark to take a look at when he came to check on the retaining wall and he said if we didn't put in another retaining wall there, the ground would just do what it naturally does...fall subject to gravity! It would just crumble and head down the hill. That would have destroyed our cement decking and caused it to crack and break apart (guess what is NOT covered under warranty for an in-ground pool? The cement!). When you're investing $70K+ for a pool, the last thing you want is something to happen which would damage it!
It had already rained one day and we started to see the earth cracking, so Mark definitely knew what he was talking about. Mark knew heavier rain was coming over the next few days and because he cared so much about our pool, he brought his crew over on the weekend to build that wall and steps leading down to the yard. Mark saved our deck! And it actually gave a beautiful finish to the pool with an area on the deck surface to complete landscaping.
He also saw how we had a huge problem with water drainage (we're the fishbowl of the neighborhood), so Mark and his crew helped us install an area of sod to help absorb the water and rerouted all of our gutters to the side of the house so we wouldn't have a mushy backyard all the time. To finish it off, a section of mulch to create a low maintenance area outside the pool and some lovely tan and white stone by the pool deck. All in all, our red clay nightmare yard (your yard gets demolished when you're installing a pool!) because a lovely oasis!
Hats off to Mark and his crew! Hire him if you want a conscientious individual who knows what he's doing and truly cares about the customer!
Amazing business to work with! I cannot speak highly enough of Mark and everyone who works for him. They did a complete facelift on the exterior of our new home and they surpassed all of my expectations. Originally, we hired him to build a patio with pavers in our backyard, but when he offered to cut out our concrete professionally to allow the plumbers to fix our broken pipe to save us additional money, we knew we were in honest and knowledgeable hands. The plumbers were going to drill it out and who knows how they would have poured the concrete back. They did an excellent job re-pouring the concrete when the plumbers were done and of cleaning up after themselves. Our curb appeal is the best in our neighborhood; the shrubs he helped select, the fresh soil and mulch, absolutely beautiful. He even went above and beyond by picking up some sod that we needed in certain areas of our large backyard. We were provided with a clear timeline, cost, and treated with respect and in a professional manner. We sincerely appreciate his efforts and hard work and we get to come home to a beautiful house! You can't go wrong hiring MBJ Enterprises.
