My experience was very negative On March 25, 2016, I had a consultation with Kathy at the FM Rd W, Houston, TX location During the consultation I informed her that my 3-month old daughter had passed away in October 2015, that I was still really struggling with it, and that I do not consume any tea She did not express any concern or warn me that committing to a Quick Weight Loss program would be a huge lifestyle change and not recommended for someone in the grieving process She also failed to tell me that many of their products contain teaI signed an agreement, payed $597.00, and received a starter packet None of the details of the program were revealed during the consultation other than keeping a food journal It was only after signing the contract and doing the orientation class that I learned of the severity of the program I feel like I was tricked into signing an agreement and paying $for a weight loss program when I was unable to conscientiously commit to such a stringent plan that was to last for more than four monthsAfter a couple days on the program, I started reading the ingredients of the supplements, and discovered many of them contain tea, which I do not consume for religious reasons I called the office, and they told me it was okay, and to just not take or use the products that contain tea They had more than different vitamins and supplements they wanted me to take ever day! The diet is extremely restrictive on salt, so I was told to use 1/a teaspoon of Morton's Lite salt every day The taste is horrible, and it was ruining the taste of my food It was impossible for me to use all of it, but at each weithey told me how important it wasI felt like I was not able to really do the diet, because I couldn't take half the supplements they wanted me to, I could not afford the "Quick Snacks" to eat between meals, and I was not getting enough saltI continued the program for nearly three weeks before I was no longer able to cope with the severe negative effect it was having on me emotionallyI called Kathy to explain the situation and requested a partial refund She insisted she could not issue any refund and had her supervisor call me Lisa *** called me, and I again explained that I needed a partial refund to relieve me of the stress and additional emotional strain the program is causing me in the context of the unexpected death of my daughter She said she would take it to her meeting the next day, but that she did not think they would grant even a partial refund On April 12, 2016, I spoke to Lisa on the phone again, and she informed me that my request for a partial refund had been denied I expressed my disappointment that the program details are not revealed until the class, that it was insensitive of Kathy to sign me up for a lifestyle change while still heavily grieving the loss of my daughter, and that it is a severe lack of human compassion for Quick Weight Loss Center to knowingly increase the anxiety of a grieving mother She suggested losing the weight would help me to feel better and have more energy Once again, Quick Weight Loss Center and its employees demonstrated extreme insensitivity I tried the program for nearly three weeks, and while I did lose about pounds, it was definitely doing me more harm than good In addition to the stress caused by the lifestyle change, the pressure not to waste the money spent on the program is intenseI finally mailed a letter demanding a full refund I was offered a refund of $88--the cost of the "services" but the supplements and products "are non-refundable." I agreed to the $88, but still think I was treated extremely unfairly I should not have been charged for the supplements that contain tea, since I told them at the consultation--before they gave me anything--that I do not consume any tea I should have also received a partial refund of the other products I stated several times that I did not think that I had received $worth of products and supplements, but the retail cost is listed on the contract It would have been more fair if Quick Weight Loss retained the cost to them, not the retail value of the products This company and its employees demonstrated a severe lack of human compassion, understanding, and good will I feel I was treated very unfairly
