Good morning,Thank you for the documentation on this complaint. It is very familiar to me since we've been working diligently since 11/10/to make this customer's responsible party happy. MBS Pharmacy is a long-term care pharmacy located in Round Rock, TX and Ft Worth, TX with an
excellent reputation in filling over 10% of the state's assisted living and skilled nursing facility population. With that said, I have attached all correspondence with Ms*** *** who is managing her grandmother's (*** ***) pharmacy account at *** *** *** *** in Round Rock, TX. Dating back to November, there was an issue regarding her grandmother's pricing, specifically what we were charging vs*** pharmacy. Since MBS is a long-term care pharmacy, there is different reimbursement through insurance plans, thus the varying difference in our prices vs ***. MBS offers delivery service free of charge, specialty packaging compliant with CMS standards, STAT delivery service of medications, and are open hrs a day year round, amongst other services we provide. Ms *** was short-paying her monthly invoices and carrying over a balance into the next month which created a lot of billing confusion over the next couple months. Our billing representative for *** *** *** *** held a conference call with Ms *** last Thursday, February 2, to explain such issues and determine what MBS could do going forward to ensure smooth pharmacy services. It was determined that MBS pharmacy would write-off her remaining balance as of 1/24/in the amount of $to start fresh (i.eHer Feb 23rd statement should have no prior balance). On 2/2/17, the billing specialist let Ms *** know that she was adding to her grandmother's account a warning to prevent any future early refills, as discussed at meeting on 2/2/and that MBS was NOT to fill the following medications: diclofenac gel, pravastatin tabs or levothyroxine tabs until those available at the facility were used and the facility was to let MBS know. Also on that date, the MBS Billing Manager put Ms *** ***'s account on hold to hopefully let the data entry technician at MBS know a) why account was on hold ie because Ms Willamson did not want any Rx's filled unless it was due for a refill and b) let our technicians know what NOT to fill unless instructed. Side note: this is NOT our operating procedure and were willing to make an exception to help out Ms ***. On 2/4/17, Shannon at *** *** *** *** let Ms *** know that her grandmother's *** (***) was not filled or delivered by MBS. After doing an internal audit, there was NO refill request made from the facility to indicate they wanted the Miapex filled on 2/3/17. The only refill request received for Ms *** *** was on 2/for her methocarbamol. Ms *** was very upset about this news relayed to her by Shannon on 2/(Saturday at 10:17pm) over email to her work address and responded on 2/5/to MBS. I personally came into the pharmacy this morning and expedited the fills for Ms *** *** and methocarbamol, charging her nothing i.ecomp'd her $copays as a courtsey. My billing Manager also reached out to Ms *** on 2/6/at 9:55am. I have also contacted the Director at *** *** *** *** this morning 2/to see how we can further assist Ms *** from the facility side, recommending that they comp her $charge/month for using MBS and let her get her grandmother's Rx's elsewhere Please let me know if there's any further documentation or information you need provided by MBS Pharmacy.
