Review: MC Administrators is the third party used by my school for the student health insurance plan. I enrolled for the plan during open enrollment in January 2014 and received confirmation of my insurance coverage shortly thereafter. I received updates on my insurance from Kaiser and updates on my prior visits. However, on May 20, 2014 when I checked in for an appointment at Kaiser, I informed for the first time that my coverage had been cancelled weeks prior. I received no notification of my coverage cancellation, nor did I receive any notice that my coverage was pending cancellation. After several phone calls and emails to MC Administrators starting on May 20th, I finally received a response on May 27 in which MC Administrators informed me that it was a clerical error that I had not received a bill for my plan. I responded immediately offering to have pay the bill over the phone with a credit card to have my plan reinstated, however they did not allow that. I have been uninsured for nearly a month and was never given notice. This is unacceptable and illegal. It is now May 28th. Yesterday I overnighted a check to MC Administrators and have still received no updates.Desired Settlement: I want my insurance plan reinstated immediately, and reinstated to cover the entire period for which I enrolled (i.e. January 2014 to present). At no fault of my own am I without health coverage. This needs to be remedied and MC Administrators is responsible.
