Review: I took my old Brother sewing machine in for repairs because it was not performing or doing something all by itself. He told me the mother board had crashed & I had to buy a new machine. I told him I didn't want a computer anymore and that the Brother did from the first day: thread wadding up beneath the plate, in the bobbin case, around the top of the take up lever. He showed me a Baby Lock & said he had been selling them for 20 years & never had a repair. I had that sewing machine back there in 2 weeks. It would have been sooner, but I was ill. When I got to looking at, it was the big brother to the first machine. When I took it in, he said, "Well, let's see what you did wrong." I was burned up with the machine & him for lying. He said I'd never have a problem & here it was doing the same undesired behavior. The is a machine problem not an operator one. He lied to me about the quality of the machine & lied again when I complained.I tend to trust people, for which my sister tells me often is the wrong thing to do. He knew & deliberately mislead me to make $400 that day. He will not refund the cost.Desired Settlement: I want him to take back that inferior machine & give me a new one, with a 1 step buttonholer. I do not want him to fix it because I never want to see it again. I do NOT want a Singer. I don't care about quilting, applique, or embroidery. I want a machine that will work for a long time. I had a Riccar that lasted for 18 years so I know it's possible.
