MC Squared Energy Services has contacted Ms. [redacted] and explained that her enrollment was initiated as part of a Municipal Aggregation Program managed by the Village of [redacted]. All eligible customers, including Ms. [redacted], were sent an informational letter from the Village around June 9,...

2017. The letter explained the program, included the Terms and Conditions of Service, and provided information on how to opt-out of the program (by returning an enclosed opt-out card or by calling 1-855-[redacted]). Participants can cancel at any time without penalty.    The Village of [redacted] (“Village”) voters approved a referendum allowing the Village to enter into an electricity purchasing agreement for its residents and small businesses. After obtaining competitive pricing, the Village had selected MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (“mc2”), to provide eligible residents and small business customers with electricity supply services for a twelve (12) month term beginning August 2017.   Ms. [redacted] now understands the sequence of events and is grateful for our explanation. She is new to the area and was not aware of the program. Ms. [redacted]’s enrollment was rescinded – she never did start service with MC Squared Energy Services.
