McAllister Site Services Ltd Reviews (11)

We had our garage pad and partial driveway removed and replaced with concrete by McAllister Site Services for $10, Concrete is already cracking, chipping, and pitting in several places, especially along the scoring lines (not the finish desired) Contacted McAllister on August 5, inquiring about the guaranteed warranty including pictures Told it "would definitely fall under something that is covered" Had to reach out to the business numerous times to view and assess the concrete work There were two times arrangements (Aug 28, Sep 12) were made and [redacted] did not show up or notify us that he had cancelled the appointment It is now October and they still have not even come out to view, let alone resolve the issue They are now stating this type of damage is not covered, but they will go out of their way to repair at the end of their season, or provide a $refund (less than 2% refund) for a sub-par job/product Other issues with this business: - custo

I hired McAllister Site Services to pour a garage pad in summer 2017 including a concrete curb around the perimeter. There are three problems with the job related to poor quality work, and one about clean up: 1) The top of the concrete curbs are not flat. As a result I needed to shim the bottom plate of the walls in many places when I installed them on top of the curb. The height difference was as bad as 1.75 inches. 2) The concrete curbs bow outwards - probably due to not enough stakes to hold back the pressure when the concrete was still wet. As a result when I installed my walls on the bowed out curb, I needed to force the walls to follow the same bowing out. 3) The actual concrete pad is not flat as as a result melting snow will pool and then freeze overnight making a dangerous skating rink in my garage. 4) A pile of miscellaneous garbage was left at my house after the crew left. I spoke twice about having it cleaned and each time I was told someone would be over 'soon'

I hired McAllister to do a concrete patioThey did a stamped concrete patio but the work that was performed was really badThey left foot prints all over the patioWhen I contacted the company to fix the issue I was told they will come do the repairs which never happenedThe company will not respond to my calls or texts now

Joe laid our concrete garage pad at the end of July, Unfortunately, that evening, there was a rain/hail storm Joe and his workers came in the night to wipe away the rain and hail throughout the night This unfortunately caused the edges of our concrete pad to be quite rough, as well as there are footprints in our driveway Joe told us he'd come fix that, as well as remove the 2xand concrete overpour on the side of the pad, after days to allow the concrete to cure In the meantime, we have also noticed a significant bulge in the driveway It is now mid-October, and joe has yet to come fix any of the issues (as well as we now have also noticed small cracks in the pad), and is not responding to our phone calls/emails/text messages This is very frustrating

We hired McAllister Site Services Ltdto remove and build a new concrete driveway between my house and garage for a price of $8800, which occurred during September - 29, This was paid in full on September 29, to Joe McAllister, the Director of this company, where MrMcAllister promised to email to us a receipt in the following day
On October 1, 2016, it rained and we found that water flows into the garage and wet the threshold of the side door, apparently because the new concrete level in that area is a little too lowImmediately we contacted MrMcAllister, and sent pictures of floods by cell phone as requested
We continued contacting MrMcAllister numerous times, finally he showed up in the evening on November 3, He gave us a solution to apply a patch to prevent water, and planned to work on that Saturday, November 5, However, no one from this company showed up on the Saturday, without any prior phone call to cancel it

We had Mcallister Site Services pour a pad for an enclosed deck and also a sidewalk around to the front of our homeThe pouring job is a messThere is overpour everywhere that Joe promised he would cut off but he does not return calls or textsThe corner of our pad was not pounded correctly, it has no rebar in it, so the corner broke off when one of their employees tried to break the over pour off with a bar and a hammerJoe has promised to fix this and has continually stood us up *** ** *** ** *** ***Also, the pad and sidewalk were poured on top of the ground instead of being dug down as they should be in a finished lot, so now the sidewalk is creating a damn for water which will penetrate and ruin our basement and Joe refuses to take ownership for this mistake and rectify the problem in a professional matter
