To whom this may concern: In response to the letter we received from *** ***: We sincerely apologize for any miscommunication between the owner, *** (company owner), *** (husband), and ***There have been issues with the duct work install, but we always accommodated the
customer to the best of our ability and went out right away when we received a call from the homeownersWe do understand the frustration on Mrand Mrs***’s part with the issues with the furnace and duct work, and our doing our best to correct the issues as soon as we’re aware of themWe believe that there was a misunderstanding between the company owner and homeowner’s resulting in things that should not have been said from both partiesWe have corrected the issues immediately after the customer called in yesterday, 3/7/2017, and have also contacted our insurance agency to ensure there was no damage from the water leakIf there are any damages and it would be our fault, we will be paying out of the company’s pocket to fix the issueThe issue was that an existing drain was clogged causing the leak, when we went out there yesterday, we rerouted the condensate line to another drainAll other issues with drains, furnace installation, and duct work installation have been corrected Thank you, Bob B*** General Manager

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
My Responce to this Drivel, is simply this, These people could not tell the truth to save there lives, they can say what they want, and you folks out there can believe what you want, but all I am tellin you, is what i have experienced with this company,this jon fella hung up on me , lied to me and my wife, on every occasion we came into contact. I then called his boss he then offered to do it for 600 we DID agree on  this price, although I stll felt like I was being taken for a ride, and told him so in a voice message , and a text, both very cival and no cursing, but agree we did, I then recieved a nasty voice message from him stating that they were once again not going to live up to there word.something ive come to expect from these people,  and if they have some message from me threatening to single handedly detroy some mcarthur empire, I would love to hear it, because it sounds to me as if someone has been watching to much TV. as for destroying there So called Reputation? they will do that all by themselves. they could offer to do it for FREE and I would refuse because I do not trust there Word nor there ability , I have since hired a more reputable company to identify and repair the problem and as susspected they found the REAL problem and have repaired it, which comes as no suprise to me. the only reason I called mcarthur in the first plase was because there name was on the stickers on the unit, but NEVER again, I have learned my lesson from this Company. should you choose to use them Good Luck , because if you are dissatisfied with there service in any way God help you, because they will do all to cover there butts and make you look like the bad guy for calling them on it.. Buyer BEWARE!Regards, [redacted]

In response to the letter we received from [redacted]: This customer is not the original purchaser of the equipment that was installed in the home. The warranty on the equipment is for the original purchaser, the previous homeowner. We were going to honor the warranty through the previous owner’s...

name. After pressure testing the unit, we found that the evaporator coil needed to be replaced and the unit needed to be recharged The evaporator coil was not registered along with the other equipment, therefore, it only had a 5 year warranty. The equipment was installed in 2009, so the coil was out of warranty at this time of service. The bottom line being that us at McArthur & Sons, Inc. were wrong about the coil being under warranty, which was told to the customer previously. We were willing to “eat” the costs of the coil not being under warranty since it was our fault on that end. The cost to repair this unit was $1014.00, the customer did not want any part in understanding that was the actual cost and he could not be reasoned with. When I was there for the service, I handed the phone to [redacted]’s wife, whom accidentally hung up on [redacted]. That relayed to a misunderstanding of [redacted] thinking that I hung up on him due to being upset, which was not the case. The owner of McArthur & Sons, Inc, [redacted], offered [redacted] a discounted price for the repairs of $600.00. [redacted] did not agree with that price, either. The customer sent text messages and voice mails ranting and raving about what a terrible company we are, when in reality, we did our best to accommodate him. He proceeded to leave a threatening voice mail stating that he will make sure our company name will be destroyed by him. After that, us as a company had to take a step back and revaluate. McArthur & Sons, Inc. wanted no part of dealing with a customer whom cannot be reasoned with and threatening, when we basically gave him a 50% discount on the service. We do have the voice mails saved, just in case the Revdex.com would like to access them.
