I went in to make an order for my upcoming wedding several months ahead of time to make sure there was time to make the changes if any prior to our wedding date/ I called to tell them because of some unexpected health issues the wedding had been moved up by six monthsThey made me an apt and after waiting to see someone for min I finally was brought to there wedding roomI started telling the woman that I was here to finalize my order and she said she couldn't find my information and was sorry we would either have to start over or we would have to get my file from another locationI said fine lets make another apptI made another apt only to find out the next day they called to tell me they lost my orderAfter looking through my paperwork I found my cake orderTHe manager was not at all nice blaming me and telling me I came in too early to make my orderAlso they only offered me a small price deduction form having to give them my copy of the contract for them to even fulfill
I ordered a wedding cake from Mccarthurs and upon ordering I was given an option to freeze the top tier of my cake or have it frozen at mccarthurs.my husband and I chose to have it frozen at mccarthursI called to retrieve the top tier of my cake on our one year anniversary and I was told they do not freeze the cake, they make the top tier,therefore, we did not receive the top tier on our one year anniversaryI called to check to see uf the cake was ready I was transferred to two different peopleI became frustrated that I had to reexplain the problem and continue to ask if the top tier was available for pickupI told the manager thus was terrible service and I was hung up onI called back to be told I was lucky I was getting the top tier because its not in the contract and if I show up to get the cake complaining they would call the police on meI requested a partial refund because I no longer trust their product at this point and I am entirely dissatisfied with the serviceThe
We are very sorry for this misunderstanding regarding the Wedding Quote that was received by the guest. Wedding quotes are held by McArthur's as just that, a quote. A quote is given to our customers, to reflect the design, flavors, dough, and other cost associated with the cake.
These quotes are not a binding contract and are only viable for days after the consultation. This is in writing on the Quote, as well as our Wedding department informing the customer. The date between the quote and the actual placing of the order, including the deposit was more than months old. As it is not binding, the prices were not the same. Due to the cost of commodities of products, often prices will change, that is why the Quote is only given for days.The guest was in our location, using profanity, being rude, and not wanting to make an appointment to order her cakeOur policy is that we don't just take your order, we go over it, to guarantee the customized cake for the customers wedding day. This was explained to the guest, but she did not want to follow the policies that we have to secure the product. She had several appointments on the phone and in person which were not attended or called to cancel. We understand a nd work with all of our guest, to accommodate their schedules, which did did do several times for this guest. As we understand that things come up, problems arise, we try to make sure that you have one less stress in your planning, by making sure that your cake is done with the specific details, flavors, and decorations to insure that your cake is to you expectations.
