We are very sorry for this misunderstanding regarding the Wedding Quote that was received by the guest.  Wedding quotes are held by McArthur's as just that, a quote.  A quote is given to our customers, to reflect the design, flavors, dough, and other cost associated with the cake. ...

These quotes are not a binding contract and are only viable for 30 days after the consultation.  This is in writing on the Quote, as well as our Wedding department informing the customer.  The date between the quote and the actual placing of the order, including the deposit was more than 3 months old.  As it is not binding, the prices were not the same.  Due to the cost of commodities of products, often prices will change, that is why the Quote is only given for 30 days.The guest was in our location, using profanity, being rude, and not wanting to make an appointment to order her cake. Our policy is that we don't just take your order, we go over it, to guarantee the customized cake for the customers wedding day.  This was explained to the guest, but she did not want to follow the policies that we have to secure the product.  She had several appointments on the phone and in person which were not attended or called to cancel.  We understand a nd work with all of our guest, to accommodate their schedules, which did did do several times for this guest.  As we understand that things come up, problems arise, we try to make sure that you have one less stress in your planning, by making sure that your cake is done with the specific details, flavors, and decorations to insure that your cake is to you expectations.  Thank you very much for voicing your concerns, as I will make sure that we are following our policies/procedures that we have in place, to ensure that our customers have a great experience. Regards,McArthur's Bakery
