Review: [redacted] from McBrides carefully installed a new Rheem water heater, new handles and seats. The handles leaked for 5 days then stopped. The cold water hand handle was wobbly loose. I had to take off the cover and tighten it up. I called in about the temperature gauge being inconsistent too hot and too cool, I turned the temperature gauge lower so not to have an explosion. The safety was my responsibility I chose to be safer and put the water pressure down as well. That didn’t stop the screws from loosening and the handles getting wobbly. Several times I had to take off the hot cap or the cold cover off and screw the screw in tight. As this first happened the tension positioned to shut was unraveling and to twist the handle was just twisting deeper and deeper, not shutting the water off so I think that the handles are defective. The unraveling is just pressing on the seat to make a hole instead of shutting the water off. So I’ve been leaking water for a week after the first week of dripping that stopped. [redacted] came over on the 9-26 courtesy call for fixing something that wasn’t going right and Rheem would pay him as a courtey to me the customer and backup their quality for their product. I was shocked to hear that the payment for the visit was received: He put the temperature back to a higher setting and I could not be more unhappy. I just wanted [redacted] to leave and not to make nonsense or make a fuss with me. He said the receptionist set it up and said that was that and that no more of what he said. The receptionist did not make sense, she is not aware of herself. A courtesy call is only for flushing the water heater for free.Desired Settlement: I expect my Dad to have the $69.00 credited back on his charge card and my temperature gauge checked as a courtesy, also the handles to be checked for no additional charge. That can’t be wrong from courtesy also the handles to be checked for no additional charge. That can’t be wrong from installation time and charged to replace.
