***I am in receipt of your letter dated Saturday, October 22, 2016(attached) in regards to *** ***'s complaint. Thisinvolves our Delhi location at *** *** ***, specifically thecontract Post Office station that we operate there.I agree with ***s statement that he mailed an
envelope on September21, at our location. I further agree with ***s timeline ofcontacting our store on October 11, and October 12, inregards to the loss of his envelope. At that point he was given theexplanation that we are a contract station and not the actual PostOffice. This is all true but I believe more care should have beengiven to *** to try to explain what that means and explore what mayhave happened to his envelope.*** left our store a negative review on "yelp" in light of whathappened which I responded to apologizing for a poor experience at ourstoreI also asked him for his contact phone number so we couldcorrespond. He respectfully replied back with his contact informationand he and I spoke a number of times working through the issue. Itcame to my attention as I investigated the process the mail goesthrough leaving our location that there is no departure scan when mailleaves our store. There is quite a bit of handling the *** ***does to the mail (including changing trucks at a substation) before itever gets to its first scan point at the *** *** ***
*** downtown. Therefore it is impossible to know exactly where hisenvelope was lost or misplaced. I asked our staff to "turn our PostOffice space upside down" to look for his envelope. Unfortunately ourextensive search did not turn up anything.With this information I called *** and he was very respectful andunderstood that the loss of his mail could have been and I believelikely was while it was in the hands of the *** *** ***
***As a result of our correspondence he retracted his negative review on"yelp" and I believe he is satisfied with our efforts. *** conductedhimself as a first class gentleman in all our interactions.Please let me know if any more information is needed by *** or the Revdex.comand I will be happy to help.Thank you,
