McCarter Alloys Inc

Review: On July 2013 I went to McCarter Alloys Inc, located at 128 Red Lion Rd. in Vincentown, NJ. I requested a (3) inch flange/pipe to be cut if they could that size or to inform me otherwise. Unable to return the items sooner due to working out of town. On Sept 17th I returned the items totaling $350.00. [redacted] said the bookkeeper is not in today, that a check will be sent. I said how your receipt is so vague my address doesn't even appear. He said "oh" what is the address, and he also reminded me that the pipe willnot be credited because it was already cut. I said the size is incorrect. I went back the following day, and [redacted] said we have an issue because of the date. My reply was your cuts were not the size requested, they are 1/2 inch over I needed (3) inch not something larger. The date has nothing to do with the incorrect size. I said I would like this settled amicably otherwise I will go to small claims court is this what you want? The reply was see you in court. Perhaps they think I will not be bothered for $350 but this is a matter of principal, McCarter doesn't want to take responsibility for something they are in the wrong. I only want what is right.Desired Settlement: I would like the payment to be by CASH this was an error in cutting by McCarter Alloys Inc. I should not have to accept these items that were not cut to my specifications. They should have told me up front if it could or could not be satisfied.
