McCauley Asphalt Contracting

Review: I agreed to asphalt contract work 8/11/2013 and paid a deposit of $395 by check. In a telephone conversation of about September 27, 2014 and follow-up email September 27, 2014, I explained that I did not want to continue your holding a deposit for an additional length of time. Waiting 13 months to perform promised work is enough. In our the telephone conversation, Mr. [redacted] agreed.

After not receiving any return deposit by the middle of October, I called his office and left multiple messages October 15, 2014. None were returned. I called him on his cell (###-###-####) and left a message. He returned that call and note that the check was scheduled to be mailed October 25, 2014. As of October 29, 2014, it has not arrived, and I gather that he did not send it. I called October 28, 2014, and left multiple messages seeking confirmation that the money was sent or information regarding how I may pick up. He did not respond. His office address is a home, and it appears to be occupied, so there is no reason for him not to respond.Desired Settlement: I receive the $395 soon or I am told where and when I may pick up the cash. I will not be calling him in the future.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. As you may recall, I filed a small claim in Rock County against McCauley Asphalt Contracting, L.L.C. and the court date is [redacted]. Today at 4:15 (12/4/14), [redacted] came to my house and gave me a cashiers check for the down payment plus court costs. The bank confirmed that the check is legitimate. Hmm. I do not know how this affects my complaint with the Revdex.com. I would not recommend this company, but, as of now, [redacted] and I are square.
