Review: I encountered the absolute worst service at what was once my favorite restaurant.

Months ago I stopped by for lunch and was placed at a table by the kitchen. I requested another table, as there were many available, but was told I would need to wait. As we waited I witnessed a busboy spray a cleaner on the table and begin whipping it down. He then took the rag with cleaner and began wiping/cleaning the silverware. Of course she led us to that table and we politely declined and enjoyed a lovely meal at [redacted] next door.

Yesterday we decided to give McCormick's another try while in the area with the kids to ride the capital wheel. Checked in for patio seating and was told it would be 45 minute wait. We rode the wheel and returned and was asked to follow the hostess. She took us to a table that was in direct sunlight so we asked if we could move to one of the shadier tables. She said No. Our server can reseat us. I said no and went to the hostess station to make my request. The manager scolded the employee then took us to a table that was being cleaned. She stood with us as the young man walked away and food and trash was still on the table. I then asked her if we could be seated at a clean table and he picked up the soiled placemats and banged them on the chair to get the old soup from the previous guest off and then flipped it over. Used his rag to sweep the crumbs to the floor and in the seats. My family was disgusted that the manager deemed this service acceptable for a patron who was easily about to spend over $100 for dinner and drinks. Still tried to make the most of the night and ordered drinks. 30 minutes later walked out because the drinks never came and our kids were hungry. Went to [redacted] and spent $200 with a 20% tip included for great food, service, and ambiance.

Needless to say they've lost a longtime customer due to poor service.Desired Settlement: The quality of service must improve greatly. Patrons must be treated as paying customers and the staff should be retrained on how they play a major role in the dining experience.
