McCoy's Gravel & Excavating, LLC Reviews (4)

I received a call from *** the first week of November 2014, while I was out of town. When I returned I met with *** at his residence. We discussed what he was looking for, as far as gravel for his driveway and prices. I informed him that 3/gravel is about $more a load
and it does not have a binder in it. He was also looking to create a turn around, which was not existing. So I told him that instead of 3/gravel, bigger material should be put down instead. I told him I could get him 3/inch crushed gravel for $per load, plus tax. I strongly suggested to ***, to wait until the spring as we had already been hit on and off with some snowfall and I knew a storm was coming. I told him that when his driveway is plowed some of the gravel will be pushed away and it was not the best time of year to put fresh gravel down. I asked him who plowed his driveway and he said he was looking for someone to plow, as he was new to the area from Tennessee. I informed *** that I plowed snow and we discussed a price and he hired me to plow as well After discussing the gravel and pricing, *** decided to go with the 3/inch crushed gravel for $per load because of the costThe fact that I could get the 3/inch crushed gravel right away was also a factor, because I have a stock pile and that the 3/gravel I buy from another pit and I have to call ahead to get loaded and they aren't there everyday so I couldn't tell them a date, until I got ahold of the pit where I buy the 3/gravel from so he said to use the 3/inch crushed gravel. I have explained to *** the process of the frost coming out of the ground at the end of winter and due to the amount of snowfall and heavy rain we received late last fall, his driveway is going to be muddy and wet because of doing it so late in the year it wouldn't get packed in. I know that when things finally dry up *** will be happy with his driveway. Wisconsin winters are much different from Tennessee winters. I buy my gravel from the same company and pit as the county and towns do. I've been in this line of work for almost years and my father has been at it for over yearsI'm not sure if he wanted pure rock, but he asked for gravel and I explained what I was going to use before I did the work. I showed *** the gravel that was on the town road and told him that's what I would be bringing him. We will not agree to a refund and if they wish to take this further we will be countering suing

Of course you will not agree to a refundThat’s because ***’s Gravel does not care about their customer’s satisfactionWe did not agree to anything other than what we requested, as money was not a factorIn fact, we overpaid you $Will you at least refund that? We sent you a check for $and the bill was only $= $You should be ashamed of yourself!
We put our trust in you to give us what we requestedWe paid you for it, even though we could not even see what we were paying forWe truly believe you brought us over your stock pile stuff on the one day you knew we were going to be gone and get it dumped down as you indicated, before the storm cameIf we had been home we wouldn’t be having this conversation, because we would of refused your stock pile of crushed stuffAs you indicated, you couldn’t even finish the skid steer to finish smoothing it out due to the snow coming in so fastHow convenient to do a job when as you said in your comments…“You knew a Storm was coming”!
So keep our $which included the $for the skid Steer that you did not finishYou obviously need this money more than we do! My hope is that the public reads this before they decide to hire you for anythingThis story will tell them about your character and what kind of treatment they can expect
