Think twice about visiting this dentist office. My teenage daughter has been their patient since she began walking. Recently went in for cleaning/xrays and they found 12 cavities. We have Delta Dental and the fillings were not totally covered. McCracken said it would cost out of pocket $1,400 to fill the cavities. We were surprised by the amount they quoted and went to another dentist within 5 miles and they x-rayed and examined her and found 7 cavities. Their cost to fill the cavities was under $200. McCracken also scared her into buying a $100 toothbrush because it would prevent future cavities. [I suppose the next dentist visit would have suggested $50 toothpaste and $30 floss]
Spoke to Mark McCracken's wife, who calls herself the office manager when she is not shopping or getting her nails done, and questioned why the cost was so high. All she would say was: "Did you spend the $1,400? She also said I needed better insurance (as if any employee of any corporation has any say in that). She is completely lost from reality. Patients are bearing more cost in today's insurance market and this office has no explanation why they would charge us $1,400 for work another dentist charged $200.
Mark McCracken's wife was very insulting. And she said we were not welcome back in their office if I continue to question and go through with this complaint. Guess another dentist has my business for a family of five. Good Riddance.
