Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 9, 2016/10/07) */ We removed the dead forked lead on the west side of the house per the specification on the estimate provided to Mr [redacted] on June 16, Our crew provided the service per the specifications on the estimate on June 17,On September 8, Mrs [redacted] requested we look at the work, as she wanted a different, much larger limb removedThe salesman evaluated the work that was done and concluded the crew completed the work correctly and to the specification of the original estimateThe additional limb was not part of the original estimate provided to Mr***We offered to give Mrs [redacted] an estimate to remove this other lead on the tree and she declined on September 23, Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 11, 2016/10/07) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The specifications were to remove the dead limb at the 'fork'The limb which was removed was perpendicular to, and below, the fork Final Consumer Response / [redacted] (4200, 15, 2016/10/11) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I feel this is a useless argument and will hire another company to remove the limb Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 13, 2016/10/11) */ The initial request was to remove the "Dead" forked lead on the west side of the treeThis limb was growing toward the houseWe removed this limb on June 17, On September 8,we were called to come back and look at this treeThe main leader, which the original leader we removed was attached, had subsequently diedThe part of the tree that is now dead is one of the main leaders of the tree, which is about one third of the treeThis leader was not dead when the original job was bid and given to Mr [redacted] and approved by himWe will be happy to provide an estimate for the additional work, but we did remove the dead limb that we were originally asked to remove

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Very little of this business response is true.I did receive service in the summer of I had just moved into a house that needed sprinkler service I hired this company to that I paid, in full and on time, $in June (Inv # [redacted] ) I also paid, in full and on time, $657.00, in July (inv # [redacted] ) I furthermore paid, in full and on time, $in July (invoice # [redacted] )In the summer of I paid this company a total of $1,487.00, over three invoices All invoices were paid on time and in the full amount However, I was dissatisfied with the quality of the work In fact, I had to some of their work and hire another company to other parts of it.The business response that I am moving soon is an outright lie I just moved in and have no intention of moving soon There was never a discussion between me and the irrigation route manager about the work done last summer. The business claims they made four attempts to reach me about this outstanding bill If you count the door hanger, that's one The statement I received in January, which prompted my telephone call to the company, is two The threat from the collection agency could be construed as three There is no four. The attached letter from the company, does not have my signature on it, nor do I have a copy of that letter in my files.Again, I believe that Ryan Lawn and Tree uses PREDATORY BUSINESS PRACTICES.The company offered a compromise, but when they decided to threaten me and my family with a collection agency they forfeited any chance of compromise Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 9, 2016/04/11) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] -Branch Mgr Contact Phone: (XXX)XXX-XXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @ryanlawn.com Our policy at Ryan Lawn and Tree is to provide the best service and products to our clients under all situationsWe did preform a lawn renovation for Mr [redacted] in We performed the work in accordance with the estimate that was provided to Mr***The control of exiting grass bid for $for the first application was completed on 6-5-We do offer folltreatments as need to get the best control possibleWe did a second treatment on X-and there was no charge for this applicationOur final application of gylyphosate was applied at the end the day after the seeding was complete on 9-15-At the beginning of this process we encouraged Mr [redacted] to install and irrigation system or consider seeding a smaller area due to the rigorous watering schedule required for new seed establishmentMr [redacted] insisted that we seed the entire 12,square feet of lawn area and he would see that the watering schedule would be followed once we completed our seeding workOnce we completed the seeding work on 9-15-Mr [redacted] was left with detailed watering instructionsOur route manager checked back on this lawn twice over the next weeks and noticed the lawn was not being watered based on the instructions that were left with Mr***We had an extremely dry October and Mr***'s new seed was struggling due to lack of adequate moistureOn October 28,Mr***'s route manager was out for the fall application to the lawn and once again treated for new weeds that had emerged as a result of seeding and the soil disturbance caused during this processOnce again, Mr [redacted] was advised that daily watering of the new seed was still requiredIn the early spring of the route manager for Mr.***'s area contacted him to let him know it was time for the first application of the yearAt that time Mr [redacted] asked the route manager to hold off on the first applicationFor the next weeks we waited for Mr[redacted] to lets us know when he was ready for us to apply his first application, which included treatment of broadleaf weeds and touching up of thin areas where the fall seeding did not germinateOn March 23,Mr [redacted] contacted our office to cancel his services with Ryan Lawn and TreeAt that point Mr [redacted] severed his relationship with us and as much as we hate to loose a customer we removed Mr [redacted] from our list of active clientsIt was a week later when Mr [redacted] contacted us again to have us come to his property and do the work we contacted him about in late FebruaryThis was confusing as he had previously cancelled his services with usHe also informed his route manager and our department manager that he had already hired another company to take care of his propertySo, we cannot provide service on a property that already has another company applying applications as we have no knowledge as to what the other company is applying to MrReeds property In summary I cannot refund the amount Mr [redacted] is asking for as we did perform the "kill out" of MrReeds original front lawn as bid for him(First application $517, subsequent applications at no charge)I will offer Mr [redacted] $of the seeding cost back, even though more than 70% of the area we seeded is established turf this springThank You, Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (2000, 11, 2016/04/11) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) The $refund is fine, I will use it to reseed in the fall Thank you
