Review: My husband and I rented a Alto Saxophone for our son on January 14,2014 from the owner. When we rented it we were told to bring it back the following day so, that the technician could fix the neck and that it would be fine for our son to use it for his first lesson at school. So, after his first lesson we returned it. For the first week and a half the owner was giving us the run around as to when it would be fixed. I returned it twice each time it was kept for days. I had called numerous times checking on it and it still wasn't ready. then, I called on January 27,2004 and spoke to the owner and told him if it wasn't fixed that day were cancelling our services. He said he was sorry and he would pick up the part that it needed. That same day in the evening he called and said it was ready. When I picked it up he said, he would give me one free month rental. He gave me a different saxophone stating the other one had to many problems. So, that following day I check my credit card transactions online and I see he has charged me a $ 29.15. I go speak to him, he says there must have been a mistake with our credit card company because he meant to credit my account, not charge me. He says, write my name and address on a receipt. I ask him WHY? He says, so that he can let the credit card company Know. Yea, right, I was not about to fill out anything so, that he can put fraudulent charges on the receipt. I told him No, you write my name and he gave me a little smirk. It's now January 31 and the charges have not been returned. I reported the charge to Capital One and their monitoring my account.Desired Settlement: I want my money returned. I did not authorize that charge.

Review: I rented a cello for my daughter and I paid the required $150.00 deposit and upon return of the undamaged instrument, my deposit was not returned. I spoke to the owner several times and each time we spoke, he assured me the credit would be on my account within a couple of days. It has now been eight months and I have yet to receive any credit.Desired Settlement: I desire to have my $150.00 deposit credited back to my bank account.

Review: Two fraudulent charges have been applied to my credit card. Dates and amounts as follows:

June 12, 2015 $107.94

June 17, 2015 $107.92

The last time I used/authorized my credit card at that establishment was April 15, 2015 in the amount of $154.50 for music lessons, which to date, have not been rendered as my granddaughter had to meet year-end school attendance requirements. I am requesting that all the aforementioned charges be refunded to my account immediately.Desired Settlement: That all charges be refunded immediately.

Review: The owner, [redacted], has verbally agreed to lease me an instrument , with the option to buy, When I returned to pick up the instrument, he stated that it was being repaired. I returned on 3 different times, and he stated the same. On the fourth time, the repairman, [redacted] was there. [redacted] stated that he never had the instrument, which is a Chateau, alto saxophone. > Why he purposely failed to be honest with me is indicative of unethical business practices. I also attempted bay him the first $30 installment, which he agreed to take. He subsequently took the payment, and applied it to my daughters guitar lessons. This was after he agreed o apply to the instrument. He has also attempted tosubstanually increase the price he quoted for her lessons. He also promised to order a part for my flute. I payed him for the part, and he has never produced it. Also, he stated that the Chateau alto saxophone was a new horn. It is not a new instrumentDesired Settlement: He needs to produce the chateau alto saxophone (new),and produce the flute crown. Since I have paid for the first month rental on the instrument, and fully paid for the flute crown, he needs to honor this agreement

Response:

I have spoke with the owner, and we have come to an agreement regarding my complaint. At this time,I would like to drop this complaint. We have come to an agreement. Thanks so much for your efforts to contact this merchant for me.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Review: I have contacted Mc Crea Music Company regarding getting an itemized statement of all of my payments for my 2 rent to own instruments at least 5 times over the last 6 months. I keep being promised that this request will be done. I don't receive any call backs regarding a delay or questions.Desired Settlement: I need to receive a statement of my payments as soon as possible. I don't know if I still owe money for these instruments.

Review: To Whom It May Concern:

I am extremely disappointed in the way I have been dealt with at McCrea and particularly with the customer service and the face I have NOT received my refund of $172. This is my last attempt to contact you directly for the refund, otherwise I will have no other choice than to take proper action with my attorney and my bank. I wish to settle this issue by simply having the cash refunded to me and I can pick it up today (Weds, 8/13/14). I will also let the music school whom recommended you know about the way I was not only hung up on numerous times by [redacted], however passed to his father who had NO IDEA what was going on and simply stated "sorry, [redacted] had to leave and passed me the phone" in which I felt extremely bad as he said he is 80+ years old and could barely hear over the phone. In addition, the ONLY place this email address is listed is on the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) in which McCrea Music Store has a FAILING "F." I simply request a refund and to move on. The violin was returned less than five days from purchase (as the receipts show) and [redacted] signed the refund receipt and according to my phone records I have called over a dozen times simply requesting this be resolved already. Why are they still able to be in business with all of the issues and negative customer reviews revolving around the same thing - money...Desired Settlement: I want a full refund plus interest at this point. I have been extremely professional and patient and over four months is way too long. I would like to pick the cash up or have a certified cashiers check available for pick up asap. Thank you.
