I stated in my compliant that his codes on the bill did not show any transmission codes, and that it was showing many codes from advanced auto, and was a process of elimination, was told to not just start replacing everything, anyway he knows he ripped me offi would have taken him to court if he had not refunded my money, and I told him that, he was also very rude on the phone, I sure hope this saves anyone else from going through what I did with this business! Thanks for your help, I did get my refund and I wont ever use this business again !

Prior to performing any work on Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle I explained that the charge of $189.95 plus tax was the cost of servicing and diagnosing the condition of the transmission on his Jaguar and...

if he needed anything extra I would call and inform him what we found and estimate of that repair would be. He did at this time authorize Fred's Transmission to perform the service and understood the charges for this service.
The work was preformed diagnoses of transmission condition was noted by scanning the computer for transmission and related codes p0733 gear ratio in 3'd gem., p0732 gear ratio in 2nd .4 gear, and p1722 stall speed , We then checked the fluid level found to be correct but contaminated we then removed the transmission pan and filter, found filter wad pan had broken debris in it, I then Called the customer and explained the transmission had internal problems and that at this time my only options were to finish the service we started or remove the transmission for repair or replacement! The estimate of rebuilding The Transmission was $3400.00 plus tax.
At this time [redacted] wished for us to stop the service we started and pay nothing for our time and efforts I explained to [redacted] PRIOR TO STARTING ANY DIAGNOSES OR WORK ON HIS VEHICALE THE COST OF $189,95 PLUS TAX. We replaced the filter and pan gasket and 8qts of fluid, when we completed the service the vehicle was able to back up and pull forward, the customer drove the vehicle up on his trailer to take home!
The transmission was diagnosed to be damaged and in need of repair I would expect the fluid not to be completely red in color if the pan was removed after service was preformed we did not rebuild or repair the transmission.
