McDaniel and Sons Rebuilt Generators And Starters

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The response has many lies in it as he never showed any parts at all bad or otherwiseThe price they quoted me of $was specifically said that was for a fully rebuilt starter plus a solenoidNow in his response he is claiming that he only replaced a piece or pieces This is another example of being told one thing and being lied to and being taken advantage of Yes he did curse me out and I dont expect a small business owner to admit to itAny wrongdoings of course he's gonna lie about it for his businesses image! This is simply going to be
a he said she said type of problem ,so I
will just give you facts of the case.A gentleman called our shop and ask about getting a starter repaired on a carThe problem he described was consistent with bad brushes on that type of starterHe was told the price for the
brushes and ask if he
would like to replace the solenoid while he had the starter off the carHe agreed that for the
price quoted he would do that.At a later date two women brought said starter in for the repairThe lady was shown the bad parts and agreed to the repair.She paid us and that was that .Also at a later date, a man called about the starter in question and was upsetHe claimed that we had
performed repairs that weren't neededHe stated there was nothing wrong with the starterHe wanted to know why we tore down a start er that was still workingWe tear down every starter and alternator that comes in our shop, even if they check good on the machineThis is done to insure the brushes are in fact goodUnit can check good and still have worn out brushes, which would cause the starter to fail under a load.Now, as to the complaint itself.The starterdid runon the machine, but as previously stated the brushes were bad,and wedid inform her and showed her the bad brushes.It was actually more thanminutes, and as for thecharging her full price,we charged her the agreed upon price.She never askwhy we repaired the starter, nor was shecussed out, threatened, or told she was not
getting a dime back.Next, she said it should take longer than minutesto rebuild a starter, according to her researchThis is true, but we did not rebuild her starter,we repairedit, there is a huge difference in those two things
Just so you know, we can repair most starters in to minutes.Point is, the starter was not working properly, regardless
of her expert opinion, or his.The complaint states the work was done on 8/27/
*** and sons is closed on Sundays.As for being cussed out, the gentleman who called to complain, was the one who got smart and accused us of all the things stated in the "complaint".The man was never in the shop and actually has no clue what happenedAfter some minutes
or more of the telling the gentleman to bring the starter back and let us show him his bad parts and try to help him understand the
situation, we still haven't seen him.He was in fact told quite expressly there would be no refund as we did the work agreed on and that we
were busy and had no more time to waste on him.In summary, *** and sons
has been in business since 1968, same people, same location, same honest and trustworthy work.We have seen and heard of every way possible for people to
try to scam usRespectfully, we do not give in to people who try t hisYou can write
whatever you want in your review of our
business, you do not stay in business almost years by being dishonest

Now in his response he is claiming that he only replaced a piece or pieces.  This is another example of being told one thing and being lied to and being taken advantage of .  Yes he did curse me out and I dont expect a small business owner to admit to it. Any wrongdoings of course he's gonna lie about it for his businesses image! I have nothing to gain from this! The owner already told me to go f@"*% myself and you ain't getting a dime!
