During the service process we were working with a gentlemanBoth the service advisor and I were informed he was the husband regarding *** *** vehicleWe did not work specifically with ***The gentleman handling ***’s repair process was fully aware of all the needed repairs and
chose not to have all of them completed Her Qwas purchase from another shop and brought to us with pre existing concerns During the repair process the technic*** followed the proper repair procedure to fix the customers concernWe identified multiple of issuesWhile following the diagnostic procedure we replaced a relay and then replaced the batteryThe power supply relay was replaced do to a code stored in the computerThe battery was replaced because it failed the battery test multiple of times. Upon replacing these two items we did not have any codes come back at that timeAs part of the customers original concern we also noted that the BOSE amplifier is cutting in and outWe let the gentleman know that this could cause a draw on the batteryAlong with the BOSE amp we were concerned that water could be intruding into the amplifier causing issuesThe gentleman handling the authorization of the Qmentioned he had another shop replace the BOSE ampWe asked for any documentation of this being done to help us further inspect the vehicleThe customer was unable to provide any documentationThe next step to repairing the vehicle will be the replacement of the BOSE ampIt is also important to know that it is likely other things could be an issue or could come up as an issue in the futureAll repairs performed on the vehicle were done appropriate and were neededIn the interest of customer satisfaction will would provide a customer with another loaner car during service repairsThis is a $per day valueWe will also provide 15% off the repairs being performedThe customer will need to have parts orderedAudi of America will provide a month 12,mile warranty on any parts and labor performed

We are sorry to hear *** *** was unhappy with the reconditioning that was performed on the used VW Touareg he purchasedWe have an extensive reconditioning process that all used vehicles go throughThis particular vehicle only had 3,miles when it was traded in to the dealership and
3,when sold to *** ***The vehicle was practically new and therefore the tires and tread depth appeared to be almost new when inspectedAccording to an earlier conversation we were accused of not finding that one tire had been previously repaired and had a tire plug; which is a very common repair to a tire that has only 3,milesNo negligence on our part was intended by us not identifying this type of repairIt is also possible with such low miles one tire could have been replaced as opposed to all At this time we offer to re-inspect the tires that were on the vehicle when it was purchased so we can make a better determination of such repairIf *** *** would let me know of a convenient time I will arrange the inspection of the tireRespectfully,*** ***Controller

Again we are sorry for the frustration in regards to this transactionThe offer stands to bring the tires to the dealership so we can inspect the repair to the tire

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/08/28) */
Our VW General Manager is reaching out to the customer to arrange repairing the customer's vehicleWe should be able to achieve the customer's desired resolution
Thank you

I am rejecting this response because there is no guarantee of any service and frankly it is to late. Why would I drive down to the dealership and sit there for a couple hours only to have them tell me what they already did during this exchange.. "Plugging a tire is common place"The leak in the tire became so bad it would not hold air for an entire day. At which point I had the tire serviced locally. Under the guidance of that establishment we ultimately replaced the tire after attempting another plug & patch processAt this point the dealership could issue a refund for the cost of tire. Otherwise, I would like the incident to stay open and against the dealership. The dealership was caught in a lie during the exchange with the Revdex.com and they should be held accountableI appreciate everything the Revdex.com has done in this incident. You guys are great!
Sincerely,
*** ***

I am very sorry for your frustration. I am happy to help track the status of the payoff on the [redacted] but, I need some additional information. I have looked in our system and can not find a customer with the name of [redacted], an address in Arizona, or a phone number to match. Can you verify...

the transaction was handle under the name [redacted]? Can you give me the VIN(Vehicle Identification Number) of the [redacted] so I can research?  Thank you.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/19) */
Our General Manager [redacted] spoke with [redacted] and from my understanding they came to an agreement. We apologize for the mis-communication between our two campuses and have issued [redacted] a check for $25.00 for the coupon that was not...

applied at the time of service. We hope this is a satisfactory solution.
Thank you.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/05/21) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I received a call from the McDonald VW GM apologizing for the situation, and he made sure that I received (and I did receive it today) the refund that they had previously committed to sending me.

Hello [redacted],I am sorry for your frustration regarding this transaction. Bad communication on the part of the dealership staff. I verified the check we reissued to the bank on 12/26 has cleared our bank. Is the account showing paid off? Let me know how I can help. Brooke L[redacted]Controller

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  Their sales person Matthew A[redacted] is fully aware of my participation in my son [redacted]'s purchase of a vehicle at this dealership.  I gave my son [redacted] power of attorney for the car, he traded the car in, I sent in my drivers license the day he traded the car in on approximately November 11th, 2017.  A week went by, I called to find out why the car was not paid off, and why I did not receive any paperwork to sign (they were supposed to overnight).  Within a week, I received the paperwork, sent it back overnight, and still they have not paid off the car.  That was a month and a half ago.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Unlike other service contracts or maintenance programs [redacted] is non-cancellable due to the fact it follows the car not the consumer. We were aware of this and informed [redacted] as well. When we appraised his vehicle we took...

this into consideration and increase the trade ACV to be fair. We also offered to add [redacted] to a new [redacted] free of charge to him if he chose to purchase a new [redacted] Unfortunately [redacted] elected to purchase a [redacted]
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/06/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Maintenance contract was never a part of the negotiated price and it was supposed to be "worked out " later (per a conversation with [redacted] after the negotiation). The only 2 things that were included the vehicle appraised value were perma-plate and window tint.
Per the attached file (part of the dealers's invoice) - the base price of the vehicle was $39500, and, after all the extras, I paid $41500. [redacted] and [redacted] gave me $33000 for the trade. Plus 9000 miles I put on the car translated to $5500 of the depreciation value (calculated during the negotiation), which bring the total to $38500.
So, I ended up losing $3000 on this "deal", not to mention the time and effort I spent fighting this nonsense.
Out of this $3000, I'm asking the dealership to cover a pro-rated maintenance contract, which amounts to $800 - I believe it's more than reasonable.
"...and increase the trade ACV to be fair" - the word "fair" should not be in McDonald's Audi vocabulary. During the negotiation, [redacted], the owner, actually uttered and I quote: "Life is just not fair". Great business motto!
"...if he chose to purchase a new Audi..." - to choose that option, I would have had to pay additional $6000.
Again, the choices were I either drive a refurbished vehicle or upgrade for a substantial amount of money. No good or "fair" deals there.
This complaint is NOT resolved until McDonald Audi pays the amount owed.
