McDonalds Franchise - DKW Enterprises, L.L.C.

The visit started off via the Drive-Thru, but after waiting about 3 minutes, patrons in vehicles were directed to come in-store. I sent my passenger inside to order her food. After waiting about 35 minutes with no sign of her returning, I went inside. Upon entering the restaurant, the scene was chaotic & conditions deplorable. The first thing I noticed was an ugly, tall gate, that appeared to be made for outside, in the seating area. Customers were everywhere. Trash receptacles in the seating area were overflowing. Trash was on the floor behind the counter. The floor was filthy. Employees were arguing with each other & with customers. After further inquiry, the manager along with five other employees called off. I told my passenger to get a refund. McDonald's is a leading global organization and this restaurant does not seem to match the McDonald's brand mission, which is "to be our customers' favorite place and way to eat and drink...We are committed to continuously improving our operations and enhancing our customers' experience." As a customer, my experience was unacceptable & McDonald's was not my favorite place. The store should have been closed until it was possible for another manager and/or the owner to come into the store and effectively manage it. McDonald's is a global leader in business & I do believe that the owner, along with MCD Corporate, should not be reacting to or a product of its environment, but influence & make an impact in the community it serves.
