McEachin & Gee

This letter is in response to the above mentioned complaint,
of which a copy is enclosed. The complainant, [redacted] alleges the law
firm of McEachin & Gee does not offer free consultation to the public. The
firm of McEachin & Gee will continue to provide free consolations for
person...

injury cases.It is our understanding, [redacted] contracted our firm on the morning
of September 28, 2016 by walking into our of South Hill, Virginia location. Since
we did not practice the specialties of law she required (medical malpractice, privacy
issues and job discrimination), as is our policy, we was provided with the
names and contact information for the Investigations Department consisting of
Lee T[redacted] and Thomas W[redacted]. Her contact information was sent to that
department to follow up with a potential referral to assist her in her search.
A message was left for [redacted] mid-day by Mr. Thomas W[redacted]. Another message
was left on September 29, 2016 by Less T[redacted]. Mr. T[redacted] did reach [redacted]
that evening while was driving to inform her that we do not handle the specialties.
She requested to contact Mr. T[redacted] back at a later time because she was
driving.The next telephone conversation with Mr. T[redacted], accruing
after  September 30, 2016, was an attempt
to hear her concerns and direct her to a party that may be able to assist her. She
did want to speak with an attorney regarding her issues but was informed that
our firm could not offer legal advice in areas that we did not practice. She declined
the offer of the referrals.McEachin & Gee P,C recognizes and acknowledge the
important of proving the general public access to legal services within the
parameters set by  the Virginia State
Bar. It is and has been our policy to provide consultations with the general
public in matters of law that we handle as a firm, or as offered to [redacted], a
referral to an attorney that may be or assistance.Please be advised we are still more than willing to provide
[redacted] with the afore-mentioned referrals and wish her luck in future
endeavors.
