To whom it may concern:Below please find our response in reference to the complaint submitted on ID #***.We apologize for the delivery mistake that was definitely our faultBut upon our men returning to the store and realizing their mistake, we contacted the customer to apologize and try and
schedule the delivery of the second chair as quickly as possibleWe offered to deliver the chair the very next day, on a Friday or the next Monday, trying to resolve the problem as soon as possibleWe would have gladly tried to accommodate her work schedule for the second delivery if we had known.As for delivering the floor model chair, it is and has been our standard to sell and deliver right from our floorAnd many customer appreciate being able to sit in the exact chair they are going to be using in their homeWe are a small family business that has been in business for over yearsWe do not warehouse multiples of many itemsAs we sell a piece from our floor we replace it with another chair from our warehouse, so many items do not sit in our store very longWhen the customer came into our store she asked to see our recliners and stated that she was looking for a pair of chairsI showed her the large selection of styles we have on our floor and explained to her that some of the chairs I would have other colors in stock in our warehouse, but had very few pairs of matching chairs, if anyShe asked to look and spent almost an hour looking and trying our different stylesI did point out one particular chair that we did have a second one of in the warehouse and also told her that a pair of chairs could be ordered for her if we didn’t have what she wanted and was willing to wait to weeksShe selected the chair I had two of and after already having explained to her earlier that I had a second one in the warehouse, I assumed she would realize she was getting the one chair from the floor and the second from the warehouse.We had several phone conversations before the second delivery, but at one point she called and would not stop talking long enough for us to get a chance talk and it was at that point she was told that we would not be willing to order her two new chairs in a box as we felt she had received new merchandise to begin withShe had mentioned to us that there was a mark on the wooden base of the chair and I offered to take care of them by putting some color oil them, but she said? she would handle thatShe then did call and say she would take delivery of the second chair and I sent as a courtesy a set of Touch Up Markers to help with the scratch she said she hadWe made the delivery on the following Monday, June and thought the customer was satisfied.Regards,Angie C*** (referred to as MrsMcFarland in the complaint) Owner/Manager McFarland Furniture Co.?
